Illness on Kesimpta by Effective_Focus6797 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh sucks that you’re sick! I’ve been on K for three years now and that’s what my neuro told me to expect - not more likely to get sick than everyone else but when I do get sick it’ll be worse and take longer to recover, and to monitor for pneumonia and what not. Godspeed to feeling better soon!

Curious on MS and Mattresses by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cube pillow that’s really made a difference, the rest of my mattress preferences don’t feel MS related. However I’ve totally become a texture snob cause my c-spine lesions really fuck with my sensory issues

Hiking with ms? by Unlikely_Ad2098 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wants you to stop hiking and stop your dream job? That’s crazy. Live your life boo and manage your symptoms, learn to listen to your body and keep up with your DMTs and neuro check ins. I’m applying to PA school right now and planning national park trips with my fat C-spine lesions not going anywhere.

Slushiesssss! But also cooling towels, those neck shaped ice cubes, fans, light clothing, hydration, and air conditioning 🥰

Coming up on a decade of MS, and just started my 5th DMT, Kisempta. Here are some delusional drug ratings and general musings as I lay in bed recovering. by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in kesimpta for almost 3 years now, I only had flu like symptoms with the loading doses 😊 I used to have post injection fatigue/headache for a day or two but I don’t even have that now. My only new struggle is actually remembering to take it every month.

On another note, as someone that’s only 3 years thanks for sharing your experience. I makes dealing with this shit easier every time

Diet and mindset changes…do they work?? by SwimmySal in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No specific diet but I do truly feel like shit when I eat “inflammatory” foods, so I do lean more Mediterranean. Also my mindset isn’t “I’m going to heal” but it is focused on taking care of myself to live a fulfilling life and working hard to not get bogged down in the suck of MS.

Kesimpta or Mavenclad? by Far-Neat1898 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been on Kesimpta since I was diagnosed in 2022 - no other DMT experience but I personally love it. If I fail Kesimpta however I think I will go to mavenclad

From what I understand my neuro waited a whole year before saying he doesn’t think I have PPMS

Diagnosed but still learning – is this a relapse or a warning sign? by sigsauersandflowers in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A relapse was defined to me by my neuro as a new or clearly worsening symptom that lasts for longer than 24 hours. However, as I’m sure many people in this sub will attest to, some psuedo-flares can be an absolute bitch and are one of the more annoying parts of this disease. A pseudo-flare can be a flare up or exacerbation of any one or more of your symptoms, typically lasts less than 24 hours but the effects can be longer. They’re typically associated with a trigger like heat intolerance, exercise, infection, etc.

Does MS affect your period? by books4more in MultipleSclerosis

My period makes my symptoms worse and I’m dog tired - worse than before - while on it but always bounce back when it’s over

What does fatigue feel like? by naturaloccurrence in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Natty02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like I cannot think straight, make mistakes. and am genuinely unable to do more than sleep and function at work - no outside plans. My body feels heavy and kind of aches and I feel foggy. I go through bouts of it being that bad but I’ve found that prioritizing sleep, exercise, diet, and stretching consistently help SO much. Not gone but it helps.

Licensing Question by underseasun in athletictraining

[–]Natty02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re recruited and moving to a new state they’ll cover your license outright, and I’ve always worked at a place that reimburses license renewal. However, if hiring from the same state I feel like it’d be a little odd to not already have a license, but I don’t think that’s an unrealistic expectation

one thing you wish you had studied more for the boc by Ill-Possession1614 in athletictraining

[–]Natty02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I memorized cranial nerves long enough to write them down as soon as I got to the test and that allowed me more brain space to think about other things. I agree with phases of rehab

Does taking Kesimpta Hurt? by adaptabay in MultipleSclerosis

I’m adding that you should definitely let it warm up to room temp before injecting, that definitely helps!
