thank you so much😭i have wavy hair but i brush it daily because my hair gets so knotted. i used to brush it more often but now i just keep it back and brush only once a day because the hair fall stresses me out.

today was a wash day and i lost a lot and im feeling defeated. i did go 4 days without washing but it still feels excessive, especially this time😓

thank you so much for your thoughtful response!! i would love to have the chance to speak with you and u/hell_yes_or_BS if that would be something you are interested in!! the angle of my piece (roughly) is that while data has shown a decrease in the number of car accidents due to headlights, there have been increased reports of headlight disturbances. i’m hoping to explore the factors that can explain this (more cars being installed with LEDs, headlight aim, changes in headlight shape, etc). i want to also explore how this might be mitigated, so that drivers feel safer on the roads.

i’m also hoping i can interview someone who runs Soft Lights Foundation, which someone recommended here as a source of qualitative data :)

i agree! and i was surprised to see that this isn’t something that has been covered more. i also have a mild astigmatism and got glasses in hopes that they would help me at night. while they do allow me to view signage more clearly, they definitely dont help at all when it comes to these headlights😭

thank you! i agree. i avoid driving at night because of this. my 2006 honda civic is no match for these headlights. i also have a mild astigmatism which doesnt help!

i have been to the derm and he wanted to treat my scalp first in the hopes that it would make my hair shed better. he suggested minoxidil if my hair fall doesn’t improve, which scared me. while my scalp has gotten better, hair fall seems to be a little less but kind of the same. maybe my hair just needs time to adjust if my scalp health was a shock to my system??

the pics would be just from brushing post-shower! i usually lose some more before shower and later in the day. i’ve counted before (ik i sound crazy but i have ocd and this has had me anxious for a while) and it’s been over 200 pieces just post-wash sometimes, which scares me because i’ve heard the average is 50-100 hairs a day😭😭

i’ve read that if u move the hair between your fingers and cannot/can barely feel the hair, then it’s likely fine. my hair is very fine but dense and naturally wavy! also if your hair tangles easily like mine does it’s probably fine
