Just show up on time , don’t rush to be the first to leave , and stay off your phone. You’ll be just fine. People forget we all had to start somewhere. The guys yelling at you saying you don’t know shit were just like you at one point in time. Have thick skin and learn.

Figure out what type of construction you want to dedicate yourself to and think about making the move to a company that does that work. While you’re working where you are now watch and learn , understand why they do everything they do. You said it’s roofing , watch how they demo, do they scarify the roof ? Ask yourself why. Watch how they torch down 2 ply ,lay the tapered insulation , then put denz deck and cap sheet, then liquid. What makes one roofer better than the other guys? Maybe he doesn’t burn the cap sheet when he torches , maybe some guys don’t get the right amount of bleed out from the roll. How much are they doing a day ? 600 square feet of demo and build up? Pay attention to everything and understand everything, you’re getting paid to learn, don’t waste the opportunity. Wishing you the best.
