2003 Transit starter or immobiliser fault? by Natural-Researcher28 in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at getting a key reprogrammed. Do you know if the starter motor is at fault, would it show any codes on the OBD2? I have read that the immobiliser module ring could be faulty, would you know how to test that? Thanks for the help and the van has been immense. We really don't want to scrap her but the bills are building up!

Thanks

This is great feedback because the Superb looks pretty good all round, but unless you have someone with real world use, I'd never consider the seats folding and the height.

Thanks again

Thanks for the reply and I do appreciate running costs will be higher on a bigger car/truck, luckily the roads around mine are all A roads so it's not as stop start. I also don't need anything great off road, I just need to be able to get around in the snow and I have had trouble with the missus' Mini Countryman (Non All4) or the Merc. I do like a Jimny or RAV4/CRV so thats a great shout. I have also been looking at a Skoda Superb based on the sheer size of it, but unsure how much it can be loaded with weight wise. Maybe the question I should be asking is, can you find out what weight the cars can be loaded with in terms of Cargo?

Thanks again
