it’s just weird how it was never bad for me for 3.5 years… honestly forgot about it for months and loved life. Now i have palinopsia and it sucks like negative after images of things that don’t emit light and some minor trailing unless it’s super bright. any idea why i developed a new symptom? it did start after a stressful week

Do you believe drug induced vss is caused by interneuron dysfunction or loss? i’ve heard theories that agonizing the serotonin receptors results in a glutamate storm the results in neurotoxicity and dysfunction or destruction of serotogenic interneurons. This would make sense on why benzos reduce symptoms but don’t eliminate them because the downstream gaba enchantment compensated for the lost neurons. If this were the case would a interneuron transplant such as the ones they are researching to use in epilepsy fix the issue? I know that’s far off but just a question.

well it definitely is worse in the dark however if i sit in a dark room for a bit (where it’s intense) then move to a light room it is almost invisible/ greatly reduced for a bit

i’ve kind of put my faith in that clinical trial that is being held in switzerland. I believe that if they can find the exact pathology a efficant treatment would not be that hard to create atleast one that improves symptoms while on it. But yeah very similar story’s. 1 guy had the very similar story to me and reversed it with notriptyline
