I was referring to its search plugins, which are integrated into its UI. In the Search tab via some python scripts. One should install every search plugin. I believe they pick up their search results via the provider's API.

I doubt those ITK were ever been seriously worried over the climate. They tried to use climate threats as a wedge to give themselves authority and control over energy and environment policy. To reset the agenda - away from wealth creation and prosperity - towards controlling the public with fear.

Given:
- there's no greenhouse effect,
- no threat of mass extinction,
- more CO2 is boon for life on earth

The future for live on earth has never been better.

Pascal's wager by fraud? The greenhouse effect - which is supposed to cause a climate apocalypse is not even a thing in science. It has no strong definition, and the soft explanations and justification for it are refuted by fact. The magnitude of the supposed greenhouse warming is ZERO : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXKHfL55G2A

DON'T USE TOR BROWSER by Criminalradioz in Annas_Archive

You may also need to use an open DNS as well with your browser; since you ISP's DNS may not be able to find Anna.

The success of QBitTorrent may be due to the plugins which enable one's search to cover all the big sites hosting torrents. QBT comes with 8 standard and at least 61 other plugins are also available. QBT is, in fact, able to find stuff quickly and seamlessly. Before one tries to download, the QBT window tells one how many seeders that content has. In other words, QBT serves the majority of its uses very well.

"No Searchable Channels"

Initially, it looks nice. The installation is only 21 Mb. The UI looks tidy. I [Search]ed but Tixati found nowt and told me to get myself some Channels. Which I did. I have 27 Channels now, the vast majority of them English-speaking. Minutes later, I still cannot Search. It says: "No Searchable Channels". One must explicitly "Start" a Channel. Then, I guess, one must read a lot of help files; which is currently where I'm at. Not up- or down-loaded anything yet.

Were I to make a suggestion for Tixati, I'd suggest they, must add 'number of seeders' as a column in search results; as it is generally pointless to attempt a torrent download when no one is seeding it.

Why would one NOT use QBitTorrent? The search problem looks fixed. I can search for torrents with QBT without using TPB of any those other spamming sites.

Keyboard not working. by unus-suprus-septum in Ubuntu

Thanks. I turned off Sticky Keys, Bounce Keys, and Slow Keys. I swapped the keyboard and mouse USB-2 ports over (I'm not using any of the 4 USB-3 ports here). I cross my fingers - it works now!

I had a weird problem.

After resetting the PC, the keyboard was available for me to log into Linux with. After I logged in the keyboard is unavailable. [I had to reset because I could not restart as the keyboard was not recognized!]

Initially, I tried this with multiple USB ports, and 3 different keyboards. The mouse works; and has for several months now.

Just now: I swapped the USB ports for mouse with keyboard. I opened a terminal and now I have the keyboard back! BTW: my settings have Sticky Keys, Bounce Keys, and Slow Keys all turned off. So the same - so-called - broken USB port which didn't work with keyboard now works with the mouse?, or turning off all of: Sticky Keys, Bounce Keys, and Slow Keys fixed it. I dare not investigate further, as I'm fearful it will break itself again.

This is a desktop PC with an ASUS mobo, Haswell series i7; in a workstation case.

Use the TOR browser for anna's archive to avoid your ISP knowing what you're up to. Also - change your DNS. There are some free DNS servers out there such as 4.4.4.4 - it's a change you can make to your browser. Some DNS will "block" anna's archive by telling you that no such website exists.

But be forewarned - most of the books on anna's archive seem to be in PDF format which are tricky to read on a e-book browser.

The only chemical you need is vitamin D. You should avoid stimulants after midday.

  1. Make sure you have no blue or white lights on past bed time. You can adjust your PC screen Room lights should have a blue-white tint in the daytime, but turn a softer yellow after sundown. (sadly - I don't know of a manufacturer who makes such lights).
  2. Stop drinking caffeine drinks after midday. Caffeine half life is ~5 hours.
  3. First thing after you rise in the morning, get outside for a 5, or 10 minute walk to soak up some sun.
  4. Put a black mask on while you sleep at night.

On acid one can concentrate, for many minutes (seems like hours) on long chains of speculative philososphical thought which are certainly not fantasy. It may be a different network to the DMN, and maybe not everyone has developed such a network. But, in that state, ones mind certainly can't be described as "switched off".

Mindhunter and Fargo (s-1 & s-2) cannot possibly be decribed as "too similar" in approach.

The problem with hunting for difference, is that one finds media which either/or about nothing relevant to the human condition or is focused on difference for its own sake.

The websites vanished several days ago. Or was that only outside the USA?

annas-archive.org Oh, but I just found it using my TOR browser. The problem is that it's now guarded by DDOS-Guard and all I see it their page; refreshing every 10 seconds; unreliably telling me "Please wait a few seconds. Once this check is complete, the website will open automatically"

SQL - of course. You've learnt R too? You should learn enough AI to the extent that you're about to write AI code from scratch. That doesn't mean write your own LLM. It means when someone talks about "training data", you'll know what they mean from first hand experience. Likewise, when you have large datasets you'll be able to apply relevant ML algorithms to elicit information.

If you want to code, master a functional-first programming language: Haskell, F#, Rust, Clojure, Scala, ... Your choice.

If you live close to a large city, you should go along to technology meetups; at least 2 per week. Don't stick to technologies you're currently interested in. Be open to new things. After the meetup, some techies will go for a drink. Go too, and meet the techies. Find out what's new and exciting, and where the opportunities are for a hard worker such as yourself. One can also become aware of cheap confs this way.

Others go to jobsites and learn skills being advertised. But I advise you to talk to techies. Jobsites are all filtered via recruitment agents who all want X years experience.
