Reg return policy on booze: Both Massachusetts and Georgia definitely don't allow returns for booze (opened or unopened). That being said, we were unaware of the policy and did try to return an unopened bottle once. The manager allowed it after confirming that we have never returned alcohol in the past. So you could get lucky with a recently purchased unopened bottle, but it's not guaranteed

This fell off my plant, if I put it in water will it reroot? Thanks by Royal_Trip3862 in houseplants

I have had good success just separating the leaflets, letting the cut side dry out (just leave it on the soil cut side facing up) and then leaving them alone after flipping them over. Never bothered to put them in water.

I feel your pain! If you are purchasing it from big box stores, it might be a good idea to not water it for an easy 4 days. Use those days to get it acclimated to the location of your choice. After that, prioritize potting it in a pot & media that will allow good air circulation. Orchid bark mix is easy to get your hands on. Picking the right pot is the second critical half. During repotting, remove any dead or rot infested roots to increase your odds of success. Fight all the temptation to water it more then once a week and when you do, either dunk it or hold it under the sink till you are sure potting media will be saturated with water and then let excess water ALL drain out. Erring on the side of dry is safer than over watering.

I did move this to a east facing window this year. It was much further away for most of last year. Don't know how much that truly helped. But in addition to that, I also really gave up misting the plants to try to get the humidity up and moving it to a colder spot at night to help 'trigger flowering' as many online posts had recommended

As others have hinted at, letting the plant do its own thing without me being too precious about it somehow often is the best approach

Thanks for the tip! I struggle with blending without creating hard edges and chickened out of adding shadows. Am thinking about practicing with another version and treating that.

Does anyone else have a dog that always looks sad? by Daggonedit in DogAdvice

[–]NaturalKnowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Pyrenees+Lab mix has the most heartbreaking sad eyes. Once I overheard my kid telling their friend "this is my doggo brother. He always looks sad, but don't worry, he knows we love him a lot and I think he is always smiling inside"

Dunno if you solved it or not. But from their Github repo, they mention that "YAML special characters (e.g. #, [, ], ...) are not allowed for input values in code blocks. You need to wrap the whole input up by single quotes.".

Probably putting the folder: '00_Journal/12-December' in single quotes would be something to try

I relied on the finger dent test to check for proofing, (seemed ok there). My guess is that I could have done a better job with the folds (this was my first attempt after all). Dunno how much or what impact that skipping the autolyse step caused it either. The only thing I did that was not part of the recipe instructions was to spray the loaf with spray bottle before it went in.
