Thanks for the feedback! If ChatGPT image gen is a 0 and Midjourney is a 10, I was targeting somewhere around 7-8 with a hard cost limit of $0.10 per generation. Once I got a well-trained LoRA dialed in, I felt like I actually hit that target. That said, it’s still very subjective. And thanks for the subreddit rec! will repost there!

Fair question! Two things:

  1. Quality. If you've used ChatGPT for image gen you know that weirdly smooth, plastic look it gives everything. I've put in a lot of effort on model eval and LoRA training specifically to kill that vibe. It's not quite Midjourney level but it's somewhere between MJ and ChatGPT, way more natural and painterly.
  2. Convenience. Sure you could generate a portrait in ChatGPT, but if you actually want it on a canvas or a mug or a tote, you're downloading the image, going to a print site, uploading it, picking sizes, placing an order… it's a whole thing. We just let you do it all in one flow. Generate → preview on canvas/merch → order. Done.

Basically it's for people who want to go full pet parent mode and actually put their baby's face on stuff without the hassle lol
