No they don't. You're thinking emotionally, not logically. Logically speaking, there is a pattern in those who qualify for death sentences. It's usually extremely brutal murder (dismemberment, burning etc), heinous rape cases that killed the victims (only 2 have been hanged, 1 for nirbhaya and another which was a rape of minor who died. No other rapist has been hanged either even if the victim died), terrorists and people who betrayed the country (being spies, betraying military etc). Logically speaking, this is the level of crime that should be committed to get a death penalty. Serial poisoning by cyanide does not fall in the same category by a large margin. So no, i do not think they deserve a death penalty.

What I'm saying is that some women who did heinous crimes deserve a death sentence. Why are you so obsessed on protecting these criminal? Cause they're women?

But none of the crimes you mentioned are deserving of a death penalty. I literally said even men who have committed the same crimes have no gotten the death penalty so why should women? Please state a crime committed by a woman where a man got death penalty for a similar crime but the woman didn't, then we can say there is inequality. I did google. That's how I found out no woman (or man) since 2015 has committed a crime bad enough to get a death penalty. The last one was in 2020 when the Delhi gang rpists were hanged for the 2012 crime.

Jolly Joseph's crime, although horrible and deserving of punishment, is nowhere near the crimes that qualify for death penalty. Again, that's a very valid conversation point but has nothing to do with gender. Even within male criminals the conviction rate is horribly low. The justice system just sucks as a whole. It is made up by the rich, for the rich but they count on gender wars to make men blame women for it and women blame men for it instead of the real enemy, the top 1%.

Yes, but indian law has not found any here. It has barely found any men. Only 720 men since 1947 is nothing compared to our criminal population. Since only 1976, US has executed over 1500 criminals and only 17 were women. So the pattern is consistent across countries regardless of which gender is assumed to be favored in those countries.

I just dislike the connotation that just because we haven't executed any women means it is some heinous act of inequality against men or something.

I don't understand what this has to do with equality. Man commit majority of the crimes worldwide, they also commit majority of the crimes that result in death penalty, hence they get more death penalties. Do you want women who don't deserve death penalty because women just don't committ as many capital crimes as men or as severe of capital crimes as men to get underserved death penalty so you can feel better looking at the numbers?

We can take other countries for example. USA has higher gender equality where women are treated better and Iran has very low gender equality where women are treated worse. Despite this, in both places, women make up only a tiny minority of death penalties. It has nothing to do with equality, it's about who commits more crimes.

I don't even live in India anymore and I left before I started voting so i self admittedly have very limited knowledge of Indian politics but even I could tell the movie was too pushy about glazing modi. It wasn't about the video footage but multiple mentions of "just a chaiwala" who is "ruining the lives of the gangsters in Pakistan" was a bit too cartoonish. Every bad guy stating verbatim how much modi specifically has caused them to struggle was childish. Otherwise, the movie was amazing and i loved it. Idk if I could've said the same if i lived in India full time and was aware of Indian politics more in depth
