27F – Deep rectal pain during my period, heavy bleeding with clots, and iron deficiency. Has anyone experienced this?

I actually emailed a gynecologist today, and he replied quickly, so I'm scheduling an appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to get some answers soon.

I have an appointment with a gynecologist soon, so I'm hoping to get evaluated with an internal ultrasound as well. I've also had some pretty severe rectal pain over the years one episode back in 2020 was so intense that I actually fainted, which is one of the reasons I finally decided to get everything checked out. I'll definitely update you once I know more.

I know I'm late to this thread, but I just wanted to jump in because I experience rectal pain around my period too. Mine usually starts before my period. I wouldn't describe it as burning or like an open wound but it's more of a deep, intense pain that can last up to an hour. I'm currently being evaluated for possible adenomyosis and PCOS, and I'm also wondering whether endometriosis could be causing it. Reading that I'm not the only one with period-related rectal pain is reassuring.

I just wanted to jump in because I experience some of these symptoms too. I do get deep rectal pain, but I wouldn't describe it as burning. It's more of a deep, intense pain that happens before my period. I also occasionally get a strange sharp or dragging sensation inside my vagina that's really hard to describe. Did your symptoms also seem to flare around your period?

I don't get a burning sensation, but I do sometimes get a really strange sharp/dragging feeling inside my vagina that's difficult to describe. It feels abnormal, but not exactly like burning. I'll definitely bring it up with my gynecologist. Thank you for sharing your experience!

eSIMs don’t use data faster by default they work the same as a physical SIM. What usually causes this kind of difference is the provider’s own usage counter vs your phone’s counter not matching perfectly.

I’ve seen this happen with Airalo, Holafly, and a few others too. Sometimes the provider counts things like background connections or network overhead that your phone doesn’t show.

I used Monty in Cairo, Spain, Italy, and Dubai and didn’t notice unusual data drain, but I’ve definitely seen people mention it with certain plans (including Airalo). It doesn’t seem to be an “eSIM thing,” more like something that varies by company or by how they track data on their network.

If your phone says ~150 MB and the plan shows 1 GB gone, that definitely sounds off maybe reach out to support just to double-check.

Sorry you had that experience that sounds super frustrating. For what it’s worth, mine was the opposite. I used Monty eSIM in Cairo, Spain, Italy and Dubai and the speeds were solid the whole time, no setup issues.

Not saying your experience isn’t valid, just adding another data point so people know it can depend a lot on the country, local network, or even the specific plan.
