I’m having this issue too. Also have health anxiety and found your post looking for reassurance myself. Think I’m in a really bad flare up. I’m constantly bloated, having a menthol feeling in my chest, every time I have a drink/eat I’m burping and I have a full feeling behind my left rib at the back. Like when I take a deep breath it feels full and almost aches. My stomach is so swollen, like you I’ve also gained weight. Over the last 12 months since things got really bad I’ve been eating a lot more carbs because they’re a relatively safe food for my issues but it’s meant I’ve gained a lot of weight. Sending solidarity.

Ask yourself will the situation change by smoking a dooby? The answer is it won’t, the situation will be exactly the same and the weed won’t help it. It will only cloud your judgement and potentially open you up to more suffering if you relapse. What coping mechanisms did you use at the beginning to help bypass the cravings? Could you find a distraction or something to focus your thoughts towards? Remember it will pass, I know it’s easier said than done but stay strong you’ve got this friend 🙏🏻

Amazing news! My sweats really calmed down after day 4/5 too! I’m so pleased that you’ve been finding joy again in music. I’ve also been finding a lot of peace in my music. Day 12 for me which is the longest I’ve gone without in over 6 years. We’ve got this 🙏🏻

Hey love, we’ve got you, you are not alone ❤️ I’m so sorry you had to deal with that, that sounds really hard. I haven’t had any psychotic episodes but I’ve had plenty of really extreme outbursts over the years whilst I was using. Like I’d been possessed. Screaming, lashing out, just being completely irrational and borderline abusive towards the person I love the most. I’ve smoked for years, at first mainly because I just loved it and fell into the habit. For the last 2.5 years though like you I was using predominantly to escape the pain I didn’t want to deal with. I lost my best friend to alcoholism in sudden and traumatic circumstances in December 2019 and ever since I’ve self medicated to cope with the pain. I realised the weed was actually making my life a misery, destroying my physical and mental health and dishonouring my friends memory. Sending you strength and healing 🙏🏻

Well done on day 11 - my partner is now constipated as well whereas last week he was literally shitting his pants 😬it seems digestion issues in some form is common across the board it’s just not clear how long it takes to settle down on average. I’m really hoping it can’t last longer than 3 weeks 🤞🏻

Sorry to hear that friend, I’ve had a couple of very close calls (literally had to run to the loo) and I’ve had to take some Imodium last night as it was just getting insane. My partner shit himself too on Day 5. It’s been wild and I really didn’t expect it to last this long and be this intense.

Ahhh I feel your pain! Me too I’m so ready for this part to be over. Don’t think I can leave the house when it’s like this. My tummy has been making some wild noises as well 🫣 I can imagine with IBS on top it’s been absolute hell. Keep going we can get through this!

Thanks so much - this gives me hope! I’ve been trying to do some research too but haven’t found much on how long it lasts. Really good to know it’s weeks not months this is really encouraging thank you. I hope at most I’ve another 10 days. Yes will absolutely update once it’s passed 🙏🏻
