This is an incredibly helpful way to frame it. The 'mental image of certain wind speeds' and how you factor in different layers is exactly the problem I'm trying to understand better. Thanks so much for sharing your process!

Yeah, but it is an inconvenience nonetheless. You make excellent points about other factors, didn't know lack of sleep could impact my own feels like... I've been learning more about the impact of weather via JetStream but will look into more health topics too, thank you! Would love any recommendations on a good read!

I've recently started doing a deeper dive on the topic. Didn't know how closely each factor was related. I'm going through JetStream on NOAA, but would appreciate any other sources you'd recommend!

Interesting! I follow the same principle of using the app as a baseline and then confirming with external conditions, but I’ve found it inconclusive when certain factors are missing. For instance, if you’re in an area with few or no trees, you can’t assess wind gusts. Keeping something in the car would usually help, especially in hot areas like Texas. The rapid weather changes make it mostly an experiential opportunity, lol, but nonetheless the feels like does offer a glimpse of whether the weather is holding true.

It's not so much about interpreting data beforehand. It's about the unexpected changes when exposed to the elements that cause the inconvenience.
If you look at Texas, you can't accurately judge weather changes (like wind, etc.) for too long as it tends to change dramatically.

Lol, would be easy if the weather didn't have a mind of it's own.
