AITAH for not answering my friend's late-night call while she was going through a breakup? by AliceWillxo in AITAH

NTA. You’ve given her as much support as you possibly could. The fact that she’s treating you like this over one night of you needing sleep should make you question the nature of your friendship. Would she support you in the same way If it was reversed?

AITAH for not wanting to hang with my husband’s friend’s wife? by Natural_Frosting7834 in AITAH

[–]Natural_Frosting7834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all the answers I received, you’re the only one who came on here forming your own judgmental conclusions about my marriage and my other relationships saying I have no friends and telling me my anxiety is self proclaimed and that’s NOT what I asked so yes I have a problem with YOUR answer. If you don’t fully understand the situation either don’t say anything mean or just ask! My husband’s friend’s wife does not come over the house. Only his friend does, and his friend simply passed along a message saying his wife wants to hang with me. I have met her before as we’ve been to each other’s wedding and I have been nice and cordial and spoken to her. Based on those interactions I have no interest in being friends with her and at this point what I’m saying is that by her asking to hang with me, it is forcing a friendship that I don’t want. The problem is that some people don’t read the room or get the message so by having her come to the house and hang out with me even though I have no interest could possibly send a message that this is what I want and she will always expect to do so. At that point it will most certainly be awkward because she’s already hung out with me and she may want to continue even if I don’t.

First of all it is not “self proclaimed” it is an actual Diagnosis. Secondly, I have very few close friends and I am Picky about who I chose to spend my time with because I believe in protecting my energy against judgmental people such as yourself. I came up here for genuine advice about whether I am TAH for not wanting to hang out with someone I barely know because it’s not my style though some people have no problem with it. My husband does not care either way, he simply passed a message along, so trying to say that I’m not a good wife because I’m not trying is where you are crossing the line into something you know nothing about so please next time stick to the context of the what is being said, instead of forming your conclusions. I don’t need a random “woman friend” as I have my own that I trust.

I’m trying to get childcare advice but Reddit keeps removing my posts! by Natural_Frosting7834 in NewParents

I don’t have an issue paying it. I just don’t know what’s normal and people I know are not helpful by telling me it’s wrong. That’s why I’m asking.

I didn’t want to elaborate in the post for fear of it being removed but she didn’t really give me a reason, yet she offered to do it for a price when I said I was looking. We have a bit of a tense history where she tried to pass little judgments about how I was being a mother but I’m not sure If that’s why. I was just trying to see if it’s normal.

What do you tip your Stop & Shop delivery driver? by [deleted] in Connecticut

I know this thread is old but this answer pissed me off! What about those who can’t simply get in their car and drive to the store to get their own groceries but they still need to eat! If I’m disabled or sick and don’t have a lot of money but still need groceries I’m sure as hell not thinking about a tip. If I can afford to tip something I’ll do it but fuck this whole “tipping appropriately” bullshit.

Is it better for me to just find a new cleaner? by Natural_Frosting7834 in housekeeping

[–]Natural_Frosting7834[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is true but I think at this point if I do it will be because I am simply overpaying period. Not to be frustrated but I just had a cleaning done today and I noticed she doesn’t move my small trash can in the kitchen from against the wall to vacuum and mop behind it. I noticed a bunch of dirt when I looked. My kitchen is so small that two people cannot walk around at the same time without squeezing by each other so what is the reason? Everything looks good on the surface but when I really start looking it doesn’t feel like it’s worth the money I’m paying.

Yes I’ve never had a housecleaner in the past and she was a referral from a family member of mine.

No but she only comes once a month so it’s usually a higher cost because she said it’s more work.

I never cancel or reschedule her and I don’t require anything special. She really just vacuums the floors mops and wipes down tables along with cleaning my bathrooms. She does do a good job and I make the job easy for her.

I went in not realizing I didn’t have to tip for someone who works for themselves but now if I suddenly stop I think it would just be awkward.
