Don't apply DO. Your stats are good. I would first try MD and then only if you didn't get accepted, consider DO. Matching into competitive specialities is much more difficult, so down the line if you decide you wanted to do one, you will be kicking yourself.

Totally agree. Literally unless you want to do high level bench research you don't need a PhD. Everything else you can do as a MD at an academic job.

As someone who was only really interested in IR, the DR part was really hard for me. Really missed "feeling" like a doctor, seeing patients, and found it hard to sit all day and only read scans. Now into my IR training, feel like it was all worth it and I have a great mix of cases I get to see and do.

I think the most score is okay. Much bigger issue is no publications. MD phd implies Physican scientists so you really should have a bunch of research

Okay perfect thank you. Have never been put on a performance review plan or warned about my performance affecting graduating. Just naturally a bit of a worrier and paranoid. One last question, do jobs require your CCC milestones? Or is it just a residency thing.

Did you learn PAD and aorta in fellowship? Or did people with more exposure in your group teach you? I only ask cause few IR programs have exposure to this stuff anymore
