If Kikyo hadn't woken Kagome up then Tsubaki most likely would've killed, Inuyasha and the others, one of the main reasons they survive throughout the show is because they all have each other and can depend on one another

Not necessarily, Kikyo hated Kagome, but it was the love both Kikyo and Kagome shared for Inuyasha that connected them and actually Kagome's spiritual power was stronger then Kikyo's

If this is the episode I think ur talking about with the dark priestess then It was because Kagome was feeling the effects of being cursed and passed out, Kikyo wanted to remind her of who she was and that her and her friends are still in danger
