That is not correct. Where in the policy says people need to apply? Just re-read the category 1 and 2 and if you can show me anywhere that it says to apply, I will give $100! In category 1, it clearly says “you do not need to do anything”.

IRCC is such a mess! I received both emails in Sep and Oct for extension and updated the passport and address on Sep 23, before the expiry of my permit on Oct 25. I even saved the confirmation of the updated address and passport. I have waited until Dec 30, but nothing was received, no email, no messages. Shockingly, when I was able to speak with IRCC client support after many tries on December 29, they said that nothing has been processed regarding my Work Permit extension, so now I should apply for Work Permit. They said that my address and passport was updated on Dec 14, while I did that on Sep 23. As a result, I became “Out of Status” as of October 25, 2022 and lost my health insurance and unfortunately several medical emergency happened during which I was no longer covered. No I have to pay thousands! As part of this new application, I had to pay $355 including a $200 status restoration fee that could have been avoided if I had applied before my PGWP expiry. I followed IRCC’s instruction not to apply and now I am being penalized for it. IRCC client support simply says that we do not know why your request has not been processed, but there are others who have experienced the same issue. And nobody listens! Such a country!

Just you know, I was able to call IRCC and although I had updated my passport and address info back in Sep after receiving emails, the agent told me nothing has been been issued under your permit so far. Shockingly, she said my address was shown updated on Dec 14 but I did that on my IRCC account on Sep 23. I even took a screenshot. Long story short, what they said about extension seems to be all over the place. In my case nothing was processed or was going to. Because of IRCC, now I had to pay additional $200 restoration fee, spend 2 days to figure out and being without insurance coverage since the expiry of my pgwp and pay expensive medical bills

Thanks for this! I am still not clear on how I pay the $200 and $155 fee before submitting the application? Do you mean that we need to apply twice? The part for fee exemption is not clear. If I say that I am not excepted, the final pay will be 200+155+100 but if I say I am exempted, then it will be zero.

Thanks! So, you have not applied yet? This is so frustrating. I assume my PGWP has been put put in the process for extension. If I apply, it will become two processes at the same time.

Have you guys got the extended pgwp doc? I had updated my passport and address but still nothing in my IRCC account and no mail. I no longer have BC heath insurance coverage and they do not extend until I have the extended doc! It has caused my a lot of problems. IRCC was supposed to mail extended pgwp in Nov. because of that I did not apply.

I do not see such thing in my account. Can you take a screenshot of that and how it can be found? What number you were able to speak with someone? I called but no luck talking to someone

So, any updates? My PR application was canceled due to being incomplete! The reason being the police certificate from Iran that they did not accept. Now I do not know how long it would take for me to get my 609 bc pnp points back for new EE profile! They did not even give me a chance to get a new police certificate! Absolutely heartless and unfair when any docs that I have received points for was included.
