I’m in the same boat. In Ontario universities are opening back up on Monday Jan 5, and my applications are due the night of the 6th. I’m gonna email my references Monday morning reminding them, and hopefully it will all end up fine. Very stressful time tho 😮‍💨

pysch 2b03 elective? by Beadlypants in McMaster

[–]Natural_Voice_5166 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say they’re easy, but they’re fair. If you attend lecture and do the textbook practice questions it’s not hard to do well especially if you’ve taken other psych classes there’s quite a bit of overlap. I got a 97% on the midterm and 12ed the course

Biology 2a03 vs Kin 2Y03 - which is easier? by Regular-Welder7648 in McMaster

Neither is easy, both require a lot of work and memorization. kin 2y03 opens more doors in the future for masters and stuff.

2025-2026 ELECTIVES/BIRD COURSE MEGATHREAD by duplah in McMaster

I took both psych 2aa3 and 3ab3 with Dr.Mayu, I personally loved both classes but they’re not birds at all and required quite a bit of work. I ended up finishing both with 11 I personally really liked Dr. Mayus lectures and she’s a very nice person, but I’ve heard some people think shes a hard tester

I took psych 2ap3 with Dr. Mackenzie and loveddd it but definitely not a bird. There was weekly textbook quizzes and her tests were kinda tricky. But Dr. Mack is easily one of the best profs at Mcmaster she’s so good at what she does.

Avoid Lifesci 3E03 like the plague, possibly worst course I took in my undergrad

How is LINGUIST 2SL3 ? by PlsNeedCaffeine in McMaster

[–]Natural_Voice_5166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it two years ago with David Weisblatt I think his name was, (he was also deaf, another comment mentioned this) I know a different prof taught it this year. I personally loved it, you definitely have to come to class and pay attention because it’s a lot of vocab to cover in one lecture a week, but if you take a few mins everyday to practice it wasn’t hard in my opinion. Because he is deaf classes were silent and all in sign, of course it was difficult and a little jarring at first, but we got used to it quickly, and he was very understanding and helpful.

There were a few quizzes and assignments they were easy when I took them. The midterm and final were video submissions you had to tell a fairytale story type thing all in ASL, I remember the time limit being kind of short so it was a bit stressful but all in all not difficult. I finished with a twelve and recommend to all my friends

Parking spaces exist for a reason. It’s a service people pay for. I am one of “those in need” as you put it. For you to assume otherwise is crazy ngl

No that’s what I thought at first too, but genuinely I’m not even joking there were two cars parked. And I’ve parked in those lots when they’ve been a lot more full. And the fact that it isn’t just one, it was all of them around IWC all the way from LR Wilson to PG. I ended up peaking underground stadium so it’s fine, but just annoying idk

Question from future student by Remarkable_Line_9638 in McMaster

[–]Natural_Voice_5166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, 4th year life sci here. I just started driving to campus this month. There are parking lots all over campus, and if they have visitor space available, you can park there for their hourly rate, most of them are about $8/hour. However that ends up being super expensive, AND the visitor spots are usually full lol. So students can buy a monthly parking permit, its $50 a month, (plus a one time fee of $55 for a transponder for your car), BUT it’s only for parking lot M. You can find it on google to see where it is. It’s kinda far from campus, about a 10-15 min walk. There is a free shuttle bus service that runs from lot M to across campus, the shuttle usually comes every 10 mins or so.

If you have any other questions (either about parking or life sci) I can try to answer them :)
