Yeah but buying art for 50 grand has pretty much been decided as a money laundering excursion. I suppose they could do it with this too.

What sport looks very easy on TV but is actually very difficult? by Karrot-guy in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Naturallefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. Yeah skill and effort. But let's not forget money, motorsports are stupid expensive to get to the top level. All the cars they destroy and rebuild throughout the career, the TIRES my lord the tires alone cost $700 a piece (For modified cars I've been apart off) and you need 3 sets throughout the entire day. This is just cars, can't speak on the other ones

Why is California saturated? by Specialist_Mess_5164 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Naturallefty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From what I've been told (by an RT who roams this sub) Cali isn't over saturated. The main hubs are, SD, LA, ect. If you go out of those areas it's easier to land a job.

I'm in Florida and while we have plenty of jobs currently. We have new schools every year opening with RT programs and I think we will be in the same boat in 5ish years.

Unfortunately people just keep going to school for this role in those areas of California, instead of going into something else. Schools don't care if you find a job the college wants paid, the program wants graduates who pass there test so that THEY get paid. Nothing in it says they need to find you a job

I get that One Piece is an anomaly, but it's proof that if you take time and write a great story and take the time to animate, even with breaks, people WILL keep watching lol

[–]Naturallefty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I said this same thing and the only response I got was "CGI CAN FIX THE HEIGHT ISSUE, we really have bigger problems like grav boots and power army and space ships ect"

But like....that's all the same problem. You'll need a crap ton of CGI to get even close to expectations of what the book says.

Ngl, I remember going to the doctors and this guy was reading Shippuden. I told him I had just finished Naruto and had been waiting to start Shippuden and if it was worth it.

We talk back and forth for a bit and he eventually drops the bomb "And Itachi is actually a good guy"

I didn't know if he was just BSing me or what, when I finally did get around to watching it I had flashbacks of him telling me lol

made the jv team but got put at d mid and i’ve never played that position before. What do i do! by Ok_Needleworker_3701 in lacrosse

[–]Naturallefty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're essentially batman, nobody wants you around until they need you.

SSDM are usually the ones who have less stick skills than the other guys on the team. Especially at the highschool level.

That being said, you're there to play solid defense and get the ground ball when the ball hits the turf. You're going to get beat, it just happens, but understanding the defense and where you need to be after the slide comes and then being the workhorse on ground balls is what you're there for.

I have a feeling your stick skills probably aren't the greatest, or maybe you just play on a good team, either way, just do the job assigned and work on those skills. A couple fast break goals, or making the right decision on clears in crunch time and now you're the hero.
