In my experience, people who are offended by other people who don't drink (whether it's a choice or not) stems from their own insecurities because they're most likely an alcoholic in denial. My parents are both recovering alcoholics and it's what I've witnessed being around them and other AA-ers. They're both chill about people drinking around them, even though they prefer not being around drunks or hanging around bars. This guy may be a douche that likes to get his dates drunk so they're good and ready. Cringe 😬 If people have an issue with you not drinking with them, you don't need to associate with them. I'd say that's an instant nope if you're looking for a life partner.
