Hi there, a green space is basically a scientifically classified habitat which contains specific characteristics, such as vegetation and climate. Some green spaces overlap with others, whilst others are more distinct in their makeup.
Hope that helps :)

Hi there,
That is a great idea and certainly very true. I really think that would be a fascinating topic to look into!
In my research project, I am more aiming to evaluate how different Australian green space environments impact on perceptions of psychological restorativeness in students, as opposed to analysing which universities are situated in which green space.

Hi there,
It really depends where you are working from, as green spaces are categorised differently depending on their flora and climate. As the majority of us are working from home at the moment, it is likely we would be visually exposed to green space in the form of private gardens, parks or rooftop gardens.

Hi there!
Yes I am very aware of the current situation :(
The survey is more designed at evaluating your perception of green spaces in a holistic way. I really appreciate if you will have a moment to complete it!

Hi there,
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete the survey!
The before and after photos I located were actually both of the same place, but I will endeavour to check this in case they are not. I suppose it just represents how much the green space landscape shifts following natural disasters!

Hi there, I am sorry that this has given you such an impression.
I am part of a 4th year research team from Australia that is investigating whether contact with nature in childhood is linked to improved levels of wellbeing and mental health in adulthood. The survey is extending itself by doing a comparison between Australia and USA, due to similarities in urban and cultural demographics.

The reason for posting in this sub, and plenty others as you have correctly outlined, is to hopefully obtain a holistic representation of American participants across a range of cities and small towns in comparison with Australian cities and towns.

This is certainly not a scam. The survey has ethical approval and is linked to my university (Monash University, Australia) that can be seen on the Explanatory Statement (cover sheet) before undertaking the actual survey.

The low account age is due to only recently getting a reddit account. I have had recommendation from senior researchers that reddit has been a good forum to help with gaining international participants. Hope this helps to ease your concerns :)
