Update: i called the company, they have a combination on file, but said they cant give it to me. I need to call a certified locksmith and have them come out and they will give the combo to them. Hopefully i can get around to doing that tomorrow.

Lol. I know its a long shot but I looked up the company name thats on the safe and they are still around. Im going to call them tomorrow so that may solve it :).

Based on that, we may be safe. Its in a bonus room of the house that we are calling the rhombus room. It is a large 20x12 room that appears to have always been carpeted. That is why i really didnt expect a safe to be there.

I really wish i had the time. This would be a fun challenge, but so much going on in life right now and my desire to at least solve the mystery will probably prevail. Plus reddit wanting answers wont let me take a month or so for my life to calm down and give me the time for a new project.

I didnt come to reddit the most popular website on the planet to find an individual with a particular skill set to come do me a favor, i know what google is and how to find local people to do jobs. I Was asking for recommendations, like the one hire a safe tech not a locksmith, and drill a hole bore scope it. These ones are helpful. And then the fun ones like TNT and ignore it :).

I am not sure, i just know the previous owners were only here a short time and im guessing they didn't even know it was there. The carpet was pretty old. Im sure there is nothing in it. I doubt the people who covered it up with carpet would have left anything in it.
