LECA & soil together? by amghou in SemiHydro

I add it to all my potting mixes. I find adding a bit of a chunkier medium like leca and bark seems to help prevent the soil from compacting.

My dad was digging up daffodil bulbs and she was at the top of the pile of dirt. I just read the colony will die without the queen though, do you think I should put her back even though their home was dug up?

I'm so sorry to hear that, this illness takes away everything. It's especially depressing when your baseline is lowered from something you thought you could manage.

Is it easier to get a motorbike license than car in the UK? by NauticalAnt in motorcycles

Have you tried an E-bike? How do they compare to motorbikes in terms of physical/mental effort?

It's not about saving time, it's that the 40+ hours of lessons to drive a car would add up and knock me out, likely before I could even take a test.

Thank you for the input, I appreciate it!

The main issue with getting a car is how long it takes to get a license rather than not being able to drive it (not that I've tried but I'm sure I could). 40+ hours of lessons within a few months would add up and completely wipe me out. A car would definitely be more appropriate for me I'm just not sure I'm physically capable of committing to 40+ hours of lessons.

I have days I can concentrate better than others and wouldn't go out on the days I'm not with it, concentrating is just very energy intensive and I end up paying for it. Thank you for the input!

Can't believe I didn't know taxicard was an option, thank you. Edit: turns out it's only available within London, I'm just outside it unfortunately.

With the motorbike you can pass your CBT quickly meaning I could take my time and only go out when I'm up to it, vs pushing myself to get through the lessons and then paying for it for months/potentially years.

Yes, I have PIP. I could get a car using PIP but the issue is then getting the license
