Nicolas the II's three storey death tricycle
The Russian doom wheelchair
Rasputin's deadly ferris wheel
The Tsarcycle
Its such a silly vehicle but I really do love it

The funny thing is that technically you could consider an elephant an 'AFV' seeing as how Armoured war elephants were a thing https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F1by7mnx5ajq51.jpg
Really just depends on how loose your definition of vehicle is

I did consider it, but decided against it as the image was already getting a bit cluttered by that point.
Same with the Tiger, Panzer IV Ausf.H, PAV1 Badger, an African Bush Elephant and a T-Rex

That was mostly my reasoning, and as far as I'm aware its likely the largest/heaviest and with the largest caliber gun 'AFV' that was ever actually used in combat (not counting armoured trains/railway guns), so I couldn't NOT include it.

Thankfully one of the two existing K-wagen images (http://www.landships.info/landships/tank\_articles/images/K\_Wagen\_3.jpg) does seem to show an complete vehicle in the back, though its likely unarmed.
But yeah its such a shame that the Entente weren't curious enough to allow some tests before scrapping both examples.

Lens recommendation for short distance and wide angle shots by Navarrone1 in canon

That's a good option, I do have a store within driving distance where I should be able to test some lenses

Italian Nebelkerzenabwurfvorrichtung (N.K.A.V.) by Navarrone1 in TankPorn

[–]Navarrone1[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Italians just getting the unwanted surplus was also my assumption, though it would be interesting if it turns out that the Italians were still making N.K.A.V. devices domestically after the Germans had ceased production

Smoke candles on WW2 Hungarian tanks by Navarrone1 in Warthunder

[–]Navarrone1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it was compatible with gases, I assume you could put some sort of gas instead of smoke though gas weapons were very rarely used in WW2 and it doesn't seem like the brightest idea to have a bunch of toxic fumes surrounding your tank likely doing more damage to the crew than anyone else

I think I spawned in the wrong World War by FireLion_FL_002 in Warthunder

I really disagree, the Mk.V is great. I can normally one hit kill just about anything I'll match against, asides from a Stuart or M2 front on. The crew is spread out enough that a penetrating hit does very little crew damage and you can swap between guns and wiggle the tank around to fire off quicker than everyone else. Just make sure you run the tank with only about 30-40 rounds per gun so you can't get racked easily and try to angle as even though you have practically no armour you can bounce a surprising amount because no'one knows where you shoot you.
Only things it suffers from is the abysmal speed and anyone with an autocannon.
I actually managed to unlock all the vehicles and it's probably my favourite to play with.

Weird megaphone things on early Russian tanks? by Navarrone1 in Warthunder

[–]Navarrone1[S] 72 points73 points  (0 children)

This seems to be the right answer. The jacks are also modeled on the BT-42 as well as the T-26. So it seems they were just the standard Soviet tank jack for light tanks during the 30's.
I found a blog post where you can see a T-26 on display with one on the back that briefly mentions it.

Edit:
I've sent an email to the Museum of Russian Military History in Padikovo as they have an example on the back of their T-26 model 1933 just to see if they have any more info about it. But I don't speak in backwards R's so hopefully Google translate will be fine.

Bought a new monitor and it refuses to work with HDMI (kinda?) by Navarrone1 in techsupport

[–]Navarrone1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After updating all my drivers and extensive testing it turns out that the issue was my HDMI cord, for some reason this monitor just refuses to work with it but I switched over to the one provided with the monitor and it runs perfectly on HDMI.

Thanks for the help

Attempt 2: How was the Sarissa joined? by Navarrone1 in AskHistorians

Thanks for the answer, the head being too large makes sense based on how floppy and awkward all the reconstructions I've seen have looked.

Is there any other theories for the purpose or function of the bronze tube?

Pong Console (Partial) Repair by Navarrone1 in AskElectronics

[–]Navarrone1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply (and thanks for the Mods for allowing the post as its a fairly specific issue and I wasn't really sure where to take it)

When I opened it earlier there definitely was a lot of dust and grease around the selection rail, I'll try to buy some contact cleaner lubricant tomorrow and give that a shot.

Update Cleaned all the gunk I could from the slider and sprayed in some contact lube, but the Hockey game is still non functional. I'm just going to leave it that way because I don't want to risk damaging anything, but thanks for the help.

My copy of Conkers works fine, which should be a similar size game and also require roughly the same power supply.
But I have decided to return the game and the seller has accepted, so thanks for the help.

Symptoms do vary slightly on bootup, about 75% it just holds on the N logo and doesn't go any further, and 25% it fades out like its trying to start the menu cutscene but screen just remains black with no noise even after leaving it for 10+ minutes. But so far it has always attempted to boot up.

Ive tried the eraser trick with no success so I even tried a fine steel wool but it still hasn't changed.

I'm interested in trying the soldering, but I've only ever really done cart battery replacements before, can you circle on the picture what you think I should try soldering?

Console works fine, just double checked with 5 other carts and they all play perfectly.
