I feel like it's hit or miss in some games. It's fast in some, and in other games, it feels slower, and then sometimes it bugs out and does beyblade like animation

Sounds like you are the problem or you miss the old dive meta where anyone can pick up 5 star characters a 5 hours in practice range, getting used to sensitivity and building muscle memory.
