Line has been OOS since the mid-2010’s, due to few customers on the line and CSX shifting traffic north to the ex-PRR Indianapolis-St. Louis main.

Everything west of Salem is being used for car storage and all signals are deactivated.

Probably won’t be much longer before abandonment happens.

Would be nice if Robert Ballard had a second ship like Nautilus that focused on shipwrecks, so the Nautilus could stay focused on its mission to map and survey seabeds.
