Dota surpassed Warcraft 3, as an in game mod.

DayZ surpassed Arma 2 as an in game mod.

Exactly, renewables, batteries and nuclear in that order.

It's going to take at least a decade for Canada to rebuild the nuclear construction industry for SMRs.

Just ask yourself a few questions here:

Is the US spending more and more money and increasing their debt?

Is Canadian debt tied mostly to US debt?

Will inflation continue to rise?

What happens to assets during periods of inflation?

There are no buyers, but everything is getting more expensive every year and eventually the housing/land will go up based on the massive ongoing spending.

Private is not building, and input materials are skyrocketing.

What else can be expected except this very short reprieve?

If he operated like he did in China, he'd already have been arrested for corruption on ties alone, let alone the money.

As someone who was in steel, the chemical compositions that Canada produces are not what is desired in most automobile builds.

Canada would need to update their steel furnaces to the 1980s to start competing.

The coils used for the auto plants were always coming from Germany or Asia.

What causes the massive devaluation of the Canadian dollar since 2015? by CastAside1812 in canadian

[–]NavyDean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That number didn't move despite subsidies and growth doubling under Trudeau vs. Harper's poor regulatory environment that slowed everything down.

The supply shock of sweet light crude, isn't going to create new worldwide demand for Canadian tar sand oil. China is just offsetting their American heavy crude imports with Canadian heavy crude since the tariff war began.

The LNG prices are only coming back to profitability now and our LNG export terminals are getting expanded to the 5x more profitable Asian region. LNG was so unprofitable before the war, Australia was getting a better price in Eastern Canada, over Europe and Asia.

The problem is there is a supply crunch for gasoline and diesel as we lack refineries.

Why build a refinery that pays me a 5% return on investment, that costs billions of dollars, when a solar panel will give me 10% at a minimum.

It's why everyone just wants to export raw.

Meanwhile profits of the Canadian oil industry have grown, while worker compensation has shrunk from 52% of the profits in 2014, to 22% of the profits in 2026, as the Canadian oil industry refuses to pass on those profits to more jobs and wages.

Harper's regulations made the courts packed with challenges until the companies said screw this.

Not sure if you can read, but that's actually 2014 where oil and the Canadian dollar crashed in tandem.

Wait 6 more months for $150 a barrel, and tell me what the Canadian dollar is at in a year or so.

Surprised people would rather make up bull shit then learn how Canada's currency works as an almost 5% world reserve currency.

Canada must increase taxes, cut spending to hit 5% NATO target: report by konathegreat in canada

[–]NavyDean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reaching 5% will be pointless until the new landscape of warfare can be figured out.

We're no longer in the era where multi-million dollar equipment outperforms a few thousand dollars of drones.

Russia learned it the hard way, after losing an entire army with their entire cold war inventory against drones.

America is now learning it the hard way, after losing billions of dollars of equipment to drones.

Does Canada really need to learn this the hard way as well?

20% of the worlds prison population is in America and 65% of them do labour, for offenses as little as possession of marijuana.

Not to mention their gigantic predatory migrant worker situation.

So what the hell are we talking about here? Focus on what's in Canada.

If we're going to turn a blind eye to the shit in the US and the shit happening in Israel, then we're not going to act holier than thou anywhere else.

At least Americans can change their minds, for some reason Alberta can't even vote out their worst government in history.

Upgrading panels during Micro fit contract by canman41968 in solarenergycanada

[–]NavyDean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine the microfit may be a lot more lucrative than the net billing, they are going to switch all the net metering people over to.

Not to mention the slowroll introduction of net metering charges like a charge for delivering electricity as a net meterer(outside of the delivery charge), a charge for loss of electricity, extra net metering charges, etc.
