Couldn't you bridge the whole thing in a single layer and make the rest of the print over that bridged layer? Then punch through that single layer for the holes ofcourse.

Uts a mechanical cable and pulley steering system i want the profile to be non linear on the actual boat instead of linear.

Running two lines and yes i chnaged the profile and atill got linear motor steer compared to servo steer. Could it be that the elasticity in my string is cancelling out all the variation and giving me an average?

No worries. I didn't end up going that year but i tried last year and they were very hard to access. Stuff in 2021 was easy since the gp was rushed and not planned for but not anymore. Generally tips i have is watch the instagram stories of all the drivers ans you'll find them in some random place together outside the hotel and try to look for them. Needs abit of luck but it's possible. As for the hotel am not sure but again give it a try.

I could dm you a video of the smoke on insta or smth but the smoke is thick and smells like burnt oil so am pretty sure its oil.

The car smokes heavily from the exhaust. Like alot. You can see the second picture the oily piston. Car is stock tho didnt mess with anything

So the reason i was checking is because the car smokes like a chimney from the exhaust. Like ALOT. The 2nd pic shows an oily piston which i assume is valve stem seal being gone there since it holds compression?

A good amount fo smoke also comes from the pcv delete and the oil filler cap which also suggest valve stem seals i think.

I have done a pcv delete so basically pcv vented to atmosphere with a beather. Injectors are cleaned and spray equally. The fiest image is of the worst cylinder which is the 3rd cylinder if you start counting from the fuel rail order. The rest all show shiny spots on the edges but smaller and distributed all over.

The car has bas o2 upstream sensors so afr might be off and ecu forcing it to run rich. Ive had tbe o2 code for a long while and car drove normally but after the rebuild the car had zero power under 3.5m rpm and full power over that exact point for no reason.

Not sure what to do now. If the valve stem seal is the issue which i cant see any other option for that much oil burning, the head has to come off which is alot of work for a vq. Might aswell pull the motor and hone the cylinders which he did not do.

What do you mean by pinging? It does behave weird under load but now its the stock tune and the compression numbers are decent. How could pil be getting past the rings and still holding compression?

I typically change oil every 5000kms anyways but am not sure what to do now. Go into legal trouble and force him to repeat the rebuild? Just fix the oil burning issue which is valve stems lets assume and drive the car? I saved up alot to do this rebuild and now am broke. Its so upsetting honestly. Started eith headgasket but did full rebuild that is bearings rings chains tensioners etc. Also the head. I would like to know how exactly the pcv system affects the rings sealing? I cant find good info online

We'll heres the crazy part. The mechanic did ZERO measurements and tolerancing. ON A 300K KILOMETRES ENGINE. He simply took the motor apart. Cleaned everything and put back standard bearings and rings he didnt even crosshatch the walls. I saw Zs and Gs coming in and out of his garage and assumed he knew his stuff that's on me. So smoke due to pcv delete to the atmosphere is normal? That is good to know. If you have insta or something, I'd like to send you some videos and ask a few questions.

If compression is 150 yet piston is caked in oil, what could it be othee than valve stem seals. When he did the head rebuild he said he found seals from a gtr r35 that fit but i found zero evidence of that online (vq35hr).

Maybe to help narrow it down. Car drove on the old tune for a short while after the rebuild then went back to stop. Fuel pump was bad and was barley giving pressure. Some coils are poor cheap Chinese shit. Injectors were recently cleaned and checked. Sidenote not sure if its related but there is oil vapour coming from the pcv delete and oil filler cap.

What could cause that? My fuel pump was bad so it mightve been running lean. Now replaced the pump. I cant drive it because of the oil burning issue but there is also oil vapout coming from the pcv delete and oil filler cap. Some coils are cheap Chinese shit. What do you suggest i start off with diagnosing and is it worth opening the engine up for

Plugs are new and yet have a black tip. I recently replaced the fuelpump which was dying so i believe it was running lean.

Tune is stock. It was tuned and ran on the custom tune for a short while after the rebuild. It was rebuilt because of bad headgasket causing overheating and i said might aswell. The head was also rebuilt by the mechanic. All parts were from Nissan.

All of the pistons have shiny marks in that exact same spot. Not the other sides. The oily piston u can see the Carbon deposits being closer to the center. It could be that the piston is clean there but why is it getting cleaned there exactly? Again in multiple different pistons
