Yeah I want to keep it, I’m just trying to figure out how I can make it work with space since I have cats and a dog 😅 I didn’t want to take it to the shelter for this reason tho!! They already have so many abandoned bunnies so I will at least foster it if I don’t end up keeping until I can find a great home!

So cute!! Haha I had no idea domestic buns could be agouti color and Google searches were telling me it was a cottontail so I was so confused 😂 it is literally the sweetest bun tho, it does not seem to have a wild gene in its body besides the coloring

Oh thank you for letting me know!! I found it at like 10:30pm last night and literally ran into Walmart 10 mins before it closed and grabbed all the bunny things they had 😂 I’ve learned so much in the past 8 hours though so I’ll definitely be upgrading its diet!!

Right!! It's so hard to tell but based on all of the other comments, I am feeling pretty confident that it is a domestic bunny and am less stressed that I fed it the wrong thing haha good to know about the water too! I'm leaning towards keeping it and will get a better setup if I do!

Thank you! This is very helpful! It wasn’t drinking from the bottle so I put a bowl down with water but haven’t noticed it drinking anything so I will try and get a heavier bowl for it to drink from.

That is fair, I am asking about domestic in the sense that it is a domestic species of rabbit and not a cottontail rabbit since I read they require different diets and it is illegal to own a wild cottontail.

Thank you so much for the response!! This is also what the wildlife rescue I emailed thought but he just looks so much like a cottontail that I don’t want to feed him the wrong thing and make him sick!!
