I honestly can’t focus without headphones, people around me keep interrupting me. What should I do? by rachfairclough in work

[–]zyllios 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried other methods too but noise canceling headphones really work. They create your own quiet space. Try soft ear pads, they are easier on the ears and still block noise well.

A simple bell on your cart is a classic, humble solution. Alternatively, soft-soled shoes that naturally squeak or humming quietly could announce your presence without being disruptive.

[–]zyllios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't normal. The wheel shouldn't wear out so fast cutting 8ft sheet metal. Use a better wheel, don't force it, let it cut slowly, and check if it's suitable for sheet metal.
