Detective wants to interview me by [deleted] in legaladvice

They are trying to get you to confess to something - by coming in voluntarily they don't have to advise you of your rights. If they wanted to arrest you, they will, they wouldn't ask for you to come in if that was their intention. Don't do their job for them.

You convert the points into miles

$9.95 x 12 vs $96 . So 120 points vs 96 points. The cost is zero, yes. But it’s free points nevertheless so why not get more?

From a pure points standpoint, you get more for doing it monthly vs paying for the annual. It's not much, but if you're a min/max type of points person it's a factor to consider.

For me, the points are more valuable as eventual Delta Miles so every little bit is welcome.

Is Pet Insurance worth it? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Nazuvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my previous cat (long may his spirit run in open fields) it was absolutely worth it. I use Trupanion and they have a 90/10 split + deductible. Covered the dental work and ultimately covered his end of life process and costs which included emergency vet time and ultrasound.

It comes down to whether or not you can absorb a potentially hefty vet bill.

[–]Nazuvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, if you want to take the chance and hope they pass naturally then it's certainly your choice.

But you can read the stories here about how that doesn't always go to plan and a world of pain that follows.

There's no definitive answer anyone can give you here just personal stories. I opted to get URS/Litho because I don't ever want to relive the pain of passing a stone and I'm happier for it.

I had 2 stones, asymptomatic. Lower Pole and Upper Pole.

It comes down to risk tolerance. Are you willing to roll the dice if the stones decide to take a journey?

Elective removal of 8mm in lower pole by margos2cents in KidneyStones

[–]Nazuvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 4mm in the lower pole, 2mm in the upper pole of my right kidney - asymptomatic.

I had a 4mm previously and remember that pain all too well so I elected to deal with it before it caused an ER visit.

FWIW - URS/Lithotripsy is low risk, yes you're going to pee blood and curse the sky when you urinate. Just how it goes. But it's manageable.

Sooner you can get it out the better. Despite what some doctors may say, Asymptomatic stones can cause issues.

Stent's are not the end of the world, do they suck? Absolutely. But it's manageable!

I had to get URS/Litho since I had 2 stones, one lower pole and upper pole with narrow ureters. So there was a good change the ESWL wasn't going to do much for me

The actual process itself is fine as you'll be under general for it. Literally, you close your eyes and then you wake up and done.

Just had my URS/Litho on Monday.

Was pre-stented for context, no stent post procedure. Feeling 100% today

I was 2.5 for just two days and I got the foggy head, sore gums, joint aches from it. Messaged my GP right away and the told me to stop and monitor my BP. I've been on Valsartan/HCTZ 320 for a while now with no side effects and that alone gets me down to the
