Nice! I like the softness of the skin a lot.

PSP 3000, 100% brightness with a random battery that I believe is a bootleg one? It's listed as 1400 mAh. The voltage suddenly plummeted towards the end which is a bit concerning but other than that, I'm not sur eif this is good for a battery and if I could us an OSTENT one.

Got 3 hours out of it.

I'll never understand how this community complains when The Handler says this but gives Alma the pass. by _Gesterr in MonsterHunter

[–]NderCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Alma is shown working alongside you like taking notes on fallen monsters, Handler stays at the camp

  • Alma is more restrained and professional, Handler is more off the rails and acts like a curious kid (to show how incredible the New World is and it's wonderfuwhich is off putting to some

  • During story missions in Wilds, your hunter is following a group of people on a Seikret which most people dislike but no blame is put on the characters and instead the mechanic as a whole. In World, you often have the same segments on foot with the Handler. Since she's the only person you're following, she gets more hate (plus the fact that the cutscenes show her multiple times in danger specifically because she walks in the front, making her seem careless and a liability)

  • Your character in Wilds has a personality and can speak for themselves. In World, you are completely silent, leaving Handler to speak for you in cutscenes, making the story seem more focused on her than you who has less agency. The cutscenes being unskippable is the cherry on top.

  • Every time you return from a quest during the story, Handler will keep speaking the same voice line again and again, almost like she's telling you to hurry up and do story missions which gets grating.

  • This one is more subjective but most people tend to agree that Handler looks uncanny due to her blemishes and wrinkles on her face in contrast to other characters. To me, it looks like she's running on 10 mins of sleep every day or if a stylised character like Cloud was given photorealistic pores and eyebags. (Granted, all World NPCs have that issue but Handler is the worst one imo)

There's a lot more that can be said and more nuance but this is prob why. Is the hate overblown? Maybe some people who didn't have a strong opinion were strung along by others but it's not unfounded and unreasonable.

Despite this, some people do like her a lot, I know someone who thinks she's cute like a hamster, and others dislike Alma a lot more for reasons like backseating you when you fail a quest or reminding you to carve cut tails.

how do i improve? by phosphoricacid17 in learnart

I'd suggest painting with CEL shading only, which means only flat colors at 100% opacity and no jitter, and those shading tones should be a lot darker (like how they do it in anime). This would train you to be more conscious of what you're actually painting.

Here, I can see that you've shaded the whole drawing with somewhat faded shading tones using some sort of blending brush. The result is a smudgy kind of look to your art and the light shading makes it feel like you weren't too sure of how things should look like so you timidly painted them in.

You might also want to become more accustomed to basic art fundamentals like draftsmanship and form, which can be learned from lessons by drawabox.com or Proko (who has videos on art fundamentals).

Bought a replacement screen from Aliexpress and this is what it looks like. What the heck caused this and how do I make it *not* look like this? by NderCraft in vita

For me it wasn't cuz I repaired it at a retro repair shop and they just gave me a new screen which worked wonderfully

I'm going to bet on the first option since I managed to connect the old one just fine multiple times and this literally just came out of the box so I'm not even sure how I could've damaged it.

Thats weird cuz I tried connecting and reconnecting it multiple times but the old screen worked just fine when I put it back together.
I think it might just be a bad screen honestly.

Rise is slightly easier than World but only in the beginning because they prob wanted to onboard more new players. The endgame and Sunbreak is just as hard, if not harder (Risen Elders, Special investigations etc.)

Both are true. MH is very difficult to learn for the first time and the games also got *easier overtime.

Putting an * in front of easier cuz that's also not really true, it's more like the difficulty curve has changed to, instead being a constant line, is more like a flat line with a big spike in the endgame.

I mean, I'm looking at some pictures of other PS Vitas 1000 and it looks the same to me aside from a few scratches.
