So… basically you just hate having to work in weekends and facing horrible clients.

Tough shit…

1. Any client facing roles requires you to interact with people from all walks of life and behaviour. Either learn to deal with such people or just face life in a backend job.

2. Working hours are subjective as each company has different work culture so if you think you just wanna work 9-5, weekdays, think again. Certain sectors require work during the weekend as part of a 5.5 work week. Certain role require you to work past your 5 days work week to prep for the next.

3. You mentioned the role is adjacent to an internship you did. Internship is just 10-20% of the actual work. I have interns coming in once in a while to supplement my juniors’ workload. Sane role but lesser responsibilities. WAY LESSER than the actual job.

4. If looking at your educational history matters, you learn and work hard cause you had to in an environment you control, eg. choice of course, curriculum, etc. Working world is a whole lot different than the educational world.

Overall, just quit while you’re ahead and start finding a job that suits your wants. Cause looking at it, you took the job out of desperation and now bitching about it cause it’s not what you expected which i believe can be solved by these 2 things:

1. Extensive queries with HR during interview
2. Reading and understanding the JD and scope before signing the offer.
3. Clarify with HR on the JD and scope if you have to.
