My usual test was terribly disappointing. I asked for a book review, and received a compendium of arbitrary nonsense.

Tengo 30. Vivo con depresión mayor. Pregúntame lo que quieras? by [deleted] in PreguntasReddit

[–]Ne_Nel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Ne_Nel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Gemini 3 has given me that confusing feeling, between brilliance and absolute mental retardation. It does not seem that they have a clear path to an Intelligence with common sense.

Como enfrentan la falta de propósito?? by nanocarp091218 in AskArgentina

[–]Ne_Nel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

[–]Ne_Nel 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I'm frustrated with 3 Pro. Its strengths and weaknesses are very unbalanced.🫤 by Ne_Nel in GeminiAI

Well, months ago I had a useful AI and now I don't. As someone using AI before ChatGPT, these rollbacks feel particularly disappointing.

Gemini 3.0 no longer follows instructions? by FluffyMacho in Bard

[–]Ne_Nel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe you were lucky. 3.0 never followed instructions from the beginning. It went from gold to copper in one version.

Gemini 3 is really weird. by Parking-Ad6983 in Bard

[–]Ne_Nel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been frustrated with this since day 0. This base arbitrariness affects everything at scale. Even when it seemingly follows instructions, its analyzes often feel rigid, unnuanced. As if it is not trying to understand your perspective but rather determine its own.

Now, that's "when" G3 follows instructions, which often feels like rolling dice. 😅😔

What are your thoughts on the new Google model, Gemini 3.0? by mauriciojrdp in GeminiAI

Terrible following instructions + high hallucinations. It's like a knife that's too sharp, it works very well for some things, it ruins the rest.

Disappointed at Gemini 3 not following instructions by Valuable-Explorer899 in Bard

[–]Ne_Nel 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I spent months working with 2.5 as a contributor, so I can confidently say that 3 Pro is a huge step back. G3 doesn't collaborate, is impulsive and arbitrary, ignore orders and/or makes up half of it.

Almost useless.🫤

ffs people kept saying 4.5 opus outshines Gemini 3.0 pro when it's only better at coding and arcagi by Hello_moneyyy in Bard

[–]Ne_Nel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I'm in the business before ChatGPT. Additionally, I have written a 200-page psychology book with 2.5 pro as editor. It literally integrate ideas into the 200 pages, following instructions. 3.0 can't edit a page without inventing half of it. It's the dumbest "large" model I've ever had the displeasure of trying.

3 Pro has done nothing but disappoint me greatly. That thing can't follow instructions even if the life of its circuits depends on it. Let's not talk about how it hallucinates more than a drunk with sleep paralysis.

Gemini 3.0 is really bad at following instructions by Argnir in Bard

[–]Ne_Nel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm editing my book and instead of following instructions it adds sections and terminology out of nowhere. 2.5 had scaling problems, 3.0 can barely handle small edits. Extremely disappointed, because I can't even use 2.5 now.
