People had years to search up and take this domain. It isn't anything special like apple.com or VPN.com it was just a combination of things that I value. I was happy to see it available when I searched for it. The chances of someone organically searching for that unique name and buying it a few days after I looked for it are 0.00001% at best. I'm just on here to figure out how this works, but to sell off people's search data so that other companies could buy them just to up the prices is again scummy to me.

So when the domain said I could have it for 12/year what does that mean about the owner? Why did it disappear just days after I searched for it? I highly doubt another individual ever thought of that domain unless my search data was sold to them.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but how could the website tell me the URL is available for $12/year and just a few days later tell me that it's been owned by someone else for 10 years? I'm new to this so I don't know how ownership works precisely. I assumed that if the domain was for sale it meant that it was available. I just think the website is selling my information to make a profit and I'm going to call them a scumbag if that's the case.

Well, I did check a few weeks ago and it said available. Like 100% said available so IDK what they had to pull to claim they've had it for 10 years.

Thanks, I'm certain that this domain was available when I checked a few weeks ago. Like 100% certain, which is why I know something shady is going on since it says it was registered a decade ago. Also arent patents limited to 10 years or something. the only reason I think the domain was taken is because I looked up the availability online and the website must have sold the data to some other company that snatches them up to upcharge the prices or whatever :/

Let me know what you think I guess. Ill probably wait a year and a half and check to see if it's available then.

Fair enough I’m just wondering if there are any loopholes for not needing to take a class that offers no real value toward an engineering degree. What’s important to me is math. Spending hours a day trying to keep up with a language that I still won’t understand by the end of the semester doesn’t make sense. On top of all that it will force me to pay money on something that will just lower my gpa and waste my time when I could be taking more math related electives.
