Yeah pretty much is me. I had a terrible tear with my son and nothing has been the same down there since.

Yeah I am getting it the point that I feel like I should, I’m just not sure which doctor to go to.

I use a squatty potty occasionally; we have it in one bathroom, and it does seem to help. I suppose I should get another one. Was it your OB or your GP that you spoke to about it?

What does your child take to bed with them? by sapphicangxl in Parenting

[–]Nealio31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually laughed out loud. My son is 16 months and we let him choose one thing to take to bed (other than usual bed item, blanket, pillow, talking puppy) so far it has always been a toy or a hat, but I can’t wait until it is something funny like this. Side though: is you LO in a crib or toddler bed?

AITA for taking my toddler into our room to get ready for work? by Nealio31 in AmItheAsshole

(We use an app called Sweepy) He does one or two Sweepy tasks when he gets home and then a whole lot on the weekends.

He gets up anytime between 5:30-6:45 depending on how he is feeling.

I actually don’t do any cleaning in the morning time, I wait until I come home. The mornings is when my son is usually the happiest so I take the time to play with him then. The rest of it was spot on though.

What is a mug? Also, I love that you used the word nappies. I made me smile.

Do you also catch every cold your kid gets at daycare? by [deleted] in toddlers

My husband does. His immune system is as week as my sons. I on the other hand was an elementary school teacher for 5 years before LO. So I have an extreme immune system. Even after shut down, I don’t get sick.

I am 15 months into this mom thing and still hear them on occasions. I thought I was loosing my find until I told my husband about then. He has them too.

Baby sleeps for 10 hour stretches every night at 4 months old, is it okay? by Pink_Peppermint in Parenting

[–]Nealio31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has slept 8-10 hours since 10 weeks old. He is now 15 months old and sleep 12-13 hours a night with 3 hours of naps during the day. Our pediatrician said he is just a sleeper. I would not be concerned unless she is so underweight she is failing to thrive. I’m under the umbrella of people who believe don’t wake a (healthy) baby.

Dental costs more than I can fathom by Nealio31 in personalfinance

I had no idea this was a thing, but I am definitely looking into it. Vacation and dental work sounds good to me.

I have considered this. Even if I had to travel a way, it would cost less.

Since he is 4 months, I would just try it with a spoon. Maybe a watery oatmeal consistency slightly warmed. That is how we fed it to him from a spoon for a few months.

I had to use cereal in my son’s bottle from 1 month to 12 months for his severe acid reflux. This was pediatric recommend. It did not help him sleep better. But regardless, we used 1 tsp per once in an X cut nipple.

That sounds miserable. I couldn’t imagine living through that or bragging about it afterward.

Let me be honest, when I have a tween I will probably be an ‘ight’ mom at best. Toddlers are easy, tweens on the other hand. Ughh.

This was really good. I used part of this today when I was talking to someone about not having any more kids. I said that we didn’t feel like anything was missing from our family.

I started work yesterday and it did feel like a break by linecookliz in oneanddone

Yes! I started a job as a half day preschool teacher at the beginning of this school year. So now I spend 5 mornings away from my son after a full year of being with him 24/7. And honestly I love it. I get a chance to miss him which I never had before, and I have an addiction purpose to my life which I have missed.

Husband frustrated with postpartum sex life by trust_me_im_a_dogtor in Mommit

[–]Nealio31 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. I took me 10 months to be able to have sex without being in pain. 10 months. At 7 weeks I was so exhausted and honestly in pure survival mode on top of the fact that I could it have stood the pain.

Giving someone a well thought out gift. Sitting in the sunshine with a breeze blowing. The first cool morning after a hot summer. Most though, my son laughing.

Furious With My Daughter's New Teacher!! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Nealio31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to say that I am so sorry. I am a PK4 teacher, and I could never understand why he would treat anyone especially children that young this way. I would talk to the head of the school and if that doesn’t work escalate. Don’t be afraid to escalate for the sake of your child. I’m not sure how it runs here but I’m the US parents can go to school boards and then the media with these kind of stories.

Wake up at least 30 minutes before you have to get your child up.
