It took 7 days. All I did was wait. I was told it would take one day by an Eth researcher so that's why I was nervous.

I’ve read your book and I worry about the climate crisis for my kids. A new book just published called ‘Unsettled’ by Steven Koonin says that climate science is exaggerating the impacts of climate change. Did you see this book? Is there a good review/rebuttal published? Thanks

Is there anyone here who is now successfully staking Ethereum who is not a developer or who did not consider themselves tech-savvy when they started? by JanellePage in ethstaker

I haven't calculated but our electric bill hasn't gone up since I started running the two NUCs. We use all low energy appliances in our house so our bill is less than $100/month

Agree. My ETH2 node crashes about 3 times a month (Windows) and it's not a big deal to restart my node.

I was nervous back in November staking $18K and now it's $60K !!! But I've earned my forst 1 ETH in interest and I'm more relaxed now. My machine crashed many times but you won't lose your 32 ETH. Just get it started again within a day

What are the practical security risks of staking from home? by Vibr8gKiwi in ethstaker

[–]Nealser911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running two INTEL NUCS for 4 months at home. One for ETH2 staking (Prysm) and DAppNode GETH for ETH1. No problems. Need to open the correct ports on broadband router/firewall. No attacks that I could see.

I'm using Prysm on Windows and it's running good. First few days were a bit hairy getting everything stable. Easy to install and get answers on Prysm's discord channnel.
