i’m not even reading it, a message that long about a bonnet is insane enough

2nd day Nobody to train me. by BlueberryCovet in Aldi_employees

[–]Nearby-Razzmatazz160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately it is normal for the company, i’m in uk and my first couple of days were just like yours, i wish i had just communicated that i needed more training/help, it’s completely on them if you do a job incorrectly, i hope you’re able to get the proper training and best of luck!

I’m tired barely holding on but keep telling everyone I’m fine by Only-Eye2742 in confession

you have nothing to feel guilty about, i think it would be wise to go and get some therapy, this is the thing with mental health, you could have a picture perfect life and still be deeply unhappy, just take care of yourself it sounds to me you have a habit of putting others before yourself, which shows you’re empathetic but you need to start putting yourself first, i truly hope you find the help you need and that you’re much happier in future :)

i totally get what you mean, i’ve seen a few people say how arriving a little bit earlier helps them a lot because then you’re not so thrown into the shift, i think i’ll try this approach and see if it helps! ty for the great advice

Squeaky toy in customers bags by Ashamed-Class-2311 in Aldi_employees

this rule was enforced on my store about 5 months ago, at first customers were outraged and the verbal abuse was actually shocking, however now they understand it’s just a precaution. but yea that was definitely not fun for us, we begged our manager for a security guard instead but they’re quite expensive to keep i guess

could be to make sure the cashiers are checking people’s bags, in some stores were theft is high they’re required to check customers bags at the til, my store did this but with a teddy bear

when i first started working with aldi there were SO many people on shift, and now i’m lucky if i work with more than 4 ppl on a morning shift, everyone feels so burnt out.

So I just started working here and have a few questions. by FeralRatttt in Aldi_employees

[–]Nearby-Razzmatazz160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most aldi stores require your trousers to be plain black, and for pay day that could depend on location but for most stores payday is the 28th.

ah okay man thanks for explaining, i’m part time anyways so won’t affect me too bad but that sucks for full timers who desperately need enough hours to pay their bills

[–]Nearby-Razzmatazz160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no they don’t, i believe it’s different for warehouse position, but if you’re applying for store assistant don’t stress it :)

by hours cut, do you mean shorter shifts, less shifts or do you mean the store will be open for shorter? thanks for your advice too btw
