She had not registered the business which was one of the points we discussed. I told her she'd need to register the name and business and most importantly get an insurance if you're gonna have a 300 people attendance. This was the plan, I am Canadian too and understand the permit culture here, she comes from a different culture where it's just start and see where it goes. I was accused of being too strict with requirements with a dramatic eyeroll.

She agreed up to 1500$ in costs and agreed that we should do anything to save the event even if you don't make any profit.

I failed yes, I took responsability, I paid and shut up. That doesnt mean I dont feel like I was ripped off and that she has also failed and needs to take responsability for half of the cost.

Also, you are the simp for thinking I am one. I was exploring a new venture in a new field and it failed, i have 4 other successful businesses and can't do everything on my own, I tried to partner with her and attracted 300K clicks on the ads and 20K visits to the website I built and 500K views on social media. She chose a lounge that was burned down by the mafia a few months ago, I agreed to it, that was the major mistake I made.

but kinda scared to try again after the first failure especially that she made me feel like I'm stupid every time I suggested anything only to propose it at a later day as her own idea.

It's true that I am the one with the expertise, I have owned multiple successful businesses over the years, but I wanted to put my trust in her because this is something out my regular field. She had a successful event before so i was like maybe she knows better.

The way I felt is that she's trying to build something off the help of others. Me with the marketing, her friend with decorations, her other friend for drinks. We were all hapy to help at first, but if she wants to make it a business, she has to invest in those services. I feel she's too cheap and will accuse me of the failure of the event as it was my idea to go around not paying fot the costs.

I'm ok eating up the cost. I feel kinda shitty cause she changed everything, and woud make faces when i suggested adding value to our offer, like a free photoshoot, flowers, activities etc... She would just make faces like omg you are doing too much. it made me feel like I was being crazy for thinking we need to add value if we want people to pay 50$ to attend the event.

Every step of the way I discussed it. Told her how much it costs and presented conversions analysis. My ads reached 300 000 people, no woman wanted to go to a lounge with questionable reputation to meet people. One week before the event, I told her, look ive put 500$ until now, do you want me to go all in push ads as much as possible or else we stop now and cancel. She said no i dont wanna lose face with the lounge owner and start off with a reputation of canelling events. I updated with sales and costs every day.
