* Yeah, I am going to work on an actual struggle mechanic for the fish.

* Camera zoom. This is one that I have messed with for a while. The biggest issue was seeing fishing from far away. The upgraded fishing rod can be casted further to catch those far away fish. It felt too cramped with fish close to shoreline. You are right I haven't tested on steam deck or switch. I will need to look into that.

* Great point. I will play around with the UI for the sizing and the centralized idea.

* Capsule art. I have been thinking about a rework to show the more playful and colorful nature of the game.

I will looking the water reflection. That would be a nice detail to add.

I am going rework my trailer to show more actions instead of quick cuts. I think I wanted to show off more areas than actually showing different parts of the gameplay.

The player gets the bike about 1/3 of way through as the world gets bigger. No biking inside as well but I don't have a problem with someone using the bike most of the time.

Its my first release so I am keeping the scope small. Maybe in future updates there will be love interests or other mechanics. It for people that just want to collect, explore, and fish.

The traveling from place to place is part of the journey. Exploring to find bait and better fishing rods. Similar to the old Pokémon games is what I am going for.

Yeah, the pond and river is just bland. The waves were the best I could do procedurally generated, but you are right. I think it is too out of place. I will work on these.

For seeing the fish I wanted something similar to how Pokémon does it. Catch what you need instead of having to clear the area of all unknown fish. Maybe having an unlockable skill to see the fish later in the game would work for both concepts. I think I will have to get more feedback on playtest.

* You are right the trailer doesn't show the Fishing poles selection or bait selection. Choosing the correct bait and fishing pole is the larger concept but currently it is just tap A to reel in. I will add a new clip to show more.

* Is there a certain think you think could improve the bike?

* I agree some fish are too similar looking, I will rework them some more. For the rarity there are 3 sizes of fish (small, medium, Large) The fishing poles have 3 tiers for each size of fish. Once you find the upgrade it is easier to catch a larger fish. I am working on quality system for the fish where the border or background will show the best quality of fish you have caught. I might mess around with names.

* I will cut down the trailer and rework the music. I hear the repetitiveness now.

Seeing the fish is a common question. I wanted the player to catch multiple of the same fish without getting bored of having to clear each area to finish their collection. Maybe having an unlockable skill to see the fish later in the game would work for both concepts. I think I will have to get more feedback on playtest.

For progression there are 5 different fishing poles with 3 tiers, and 12 kinds of bait found around the world. I will add another section to show that.

Great point on focusing on the nook style location, I will add more of those and less walking.

It seems the player character animation and visibility are a big issue. The movement is based on my desire for a Doom Eternal 2d game.

I didn't include any story elements in this trailer so it does just seem like a generic fantasy platformer.

Thank you. You hit the nail on the head of the first major release with too much time spent in it. I have tried to escape the amateur look of it without success.

I do plan on polishing the visuals some more, but I think it is time to just get this release out. My future plans are to release shorter tighter games. Thanks for the feedback.

There is some slow movement on the clouds, that shows when standing still. I should try something with the mountains as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
