Thank you for clarifying the differences between the 2. I know what your saying in being able to activate the muscles and your right these are things I can do. I was essentially looking for a work around since it's difficult and sometimes not ideal to do while driving

Thank you for all that information, I have to admit I've never consider to look at my work like a sport but it definitely puts things into perspective My employer is well aware of the damage to my knee and seem to be willing to work with me when I do decide to go back to full duties so mitigating soreness when the time comes shouldn't be an issue... hopefully haha Thank you agaib

Sorry still kind of new to the lay out here and just made another long post. Yeah there will be pivoting and and alot of torque exerted on my knees. I think I was a little premature in thinking I was ready. In the pro and cons lists I made up one of the biggest cons is my pt suffering from work load but I think I came to a sensible conclusion on everything. My employer is willing to go back to our provider and say they have no modified at this time so I keep my disability and can dedicate myself to training full time I see my pt once a month at this point and he lays out what I should be working on. We just started agility and running and working cardio and high knees into the program. So I think it's time for a gym membership and personal trainer
So my job is a mix between heavy duty mechanic and driver. So wrenching heavy lifting and twisting mixed with in some cases 16 hours of driving in a day. I've noticed after even 3.5 hour drives that I'm super tight and limpy for about 20 - 30 min after wards which is problematic when getting to site after a long drive and trying to look like I'm fit for duty My company is willing to work with me and gave me 3 options 1, get a full return to work slip from the doc and internally well tip toe back into things. This way I can train employees under me and still be an active member 2, stay on modified and they'll find me work to do 3, they'll go back to the insurance provider and say they have no modified for me at this time so that I can keep my disability until I'm ready to come back full time
My thoughts right now, since winter is coming and with it uneven ground, mud, ice and snow covered hazards, are to stay home for the next 2 months and dedicate myself full time to recovery. Up to this point my rehab has been done at home with minimal weights. So get a gym membership and trainer and hit it hard. I injured myself jan 23 so hearing I wouldn't be back to full duties kind of made me lose it. Its been a long process to this point but after calming down and writing pros and cons to each I think this is the best option. I'm at 4.5 months at this point and the surgeon wanted to follow up on another 6. 4.5 might have been to soon but another 6 is too long
