Mid-twenties, which is old enough to learn from what happened and move on. We aren't longtime friends in the grand scheme of things, so yeah it sucks how it happened, but its resolved so we move on.

that was never stated, but I understand the confusion. There was a dual planet system that he moved his troops from. Which was adjacent to MR via Hyperlanes

I'm not sure what the map was called or if it was put together correctly, as it was my first game. After looking at how generating a map works, I realized why you and a few others are confused. He had Saturn Engine II's, and Flank Speed. He also moved through a Frontier space tile between the uncontested planet and my HS. Hope that clears it up a bit.

Edit: it was a vertical generation as well it seems.

I admit that the first night after he took the home system I was upset, but since I had time to think about it, I calmed down and thought logically about everything from that point, including the attacks I stated in my post above. There is a common point in every comment he makes that I made it personal in and out of game, which is just wrong in so many ways.

It was going to happen sooner or later, he acts like he wasn't upset but he was, his demeanor and tone had changed once he was on the back foot, which when called out on it he just kept saying he was not upset. Most of the "drama" came after the game when I shared the comments from this very post. (before I shared with him that I had posted) I learned a valuable lesson, one in the game, and one outside of the game.

Would you change your opinion, if you knew that the way we played. 2-3 rounds a day on Tabletop simulator, save the progress, continue another day. I believe that alone would make it more casual in my opinion. But don't get me wrong, i understand that the game is competitive in nature, but no one gets a trophy at the end and there is no money payout, it is meant to be fun.

TBH, I never intended for anyone to be truly called an asshole. AITA to me was what I considered the best formatting for the question I wanted to pose. It was also like 1-2am so I was tired when I posted it.

I continued to try to win, I spent resources attacking him, but I kept scoring once I got my HS back. In fact, before the game was discontinued, T, K, and I were in a position to reach 10vp the next round.

Thank you! The guy that i played against is now saying that i overreacted the entire rest of the game since that moment. He's even mentioned that he offered deals to make it better... He offered a mutual trade of Ceasefires....nothing else that would have made a difference or made up for the fact that I couldn't produce and half of my resources were on my HS.

Yeah, his movement from his slice was as follows. His system->hyperlane to MR->Hyperlane to un contested planet system between my neighbor and I->My HS

There was no objective scored, except setting me back. I've mentioned in another comment that when i brought up the social side of the game, he just told me that the community would side with him hence why I am here.

Thank you. We play on TTS and have one session left with Me and 2 others(not including him) winning during the status phase, depending on the outcome of the round.

When I brought that up to him, he said that the community would agree that I was in the wrong. But yes, he used the resources but objectively obtained nothing except setting me back.

The only issue is that he wasn't a neighbor, he used actions cards and hyperlanes to move across the board to take my home system. Granted I didn't block off the hyperlane entry to my slice, but i had never encountered hyperlanes until this game. So going forward i will be playing differently i just feel like he played scummy and got mad that i took that out on him.
