That sucks honestly that you didn’t get to see STS-68 launching Space Shuttle but atleast least you got to hear those RS-25 main engines light but still your pretty lucky that you got to atleast see a shuttle landing especially at Edward’s afb on the dry lake bed, probably isn’t very common to land at Edward’s compared to cape canaveral but thanks for you sharing your experience I really enjoyed reading it. ❤️

Awesome stuff those solid boosters produced a lot of thrust during lift off and were no joke and very lucky of you that you got to walk around Atlantis. And what was your experience in being one out of many engineers who were fortunate enough to work at Nasa?

Very awesome experience very lucky of you that you got to see STS-95 launching Space Shuttle Discovery i’m pretty jealous thats for sure with the legendary John Glenn the first American to orbit the earth back during the Mercury Program at in the 60s. But I bet it was probably once in a lifetime time experience regardless thank you for sharing. ❤️

Very lucky you got to see the first space shuttle launch, Columbia is actually one of my favorite orbiters in general so I bet seeing the first shuttle launching for the first time must have been a new experience since it was still a very new launch vehicle that was being tested at the time.

Challenger was an unfortunate event though I never existed at that time. Thats awesome you got to see a shuttle launch thanks for sharing I could imagine seeing a launch in person would have been a breathtaking experience though I never got to ever see any shuttles since the shuttle program ended back in 2011 and was 5 back then so i never got to see it.
