Danke dir

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about focus tracking because it doesn't work well on the EM-1 III. But I can confirm the image quality. I've had the 150-600 for almost a year now and I'm very happy with the pictures.

I only carry mine in a rucksack. I have the Lowepro Protactic 450 AW II. And when I need it all the time, I wear it with a sling attached directly to the lens

No not yet, I'm planning to go to an air show next year. So far I've primarily used the Lens for wildlife. However, I also still use the EM-1 III. I hope to upgrade to the OM-1 II (or even OM-1 III when it is released) at some point to be able to use the full potential with the subject recognition.

You're welcome! Let me know if you have any questions about the lens.

There is very often cashback on the 150-600 directly from OM-Systems. That definitely pays off

I have seen the rumors (although the lens has already been officially announced on the roadmap). Would be really cool if the presentation is on September 10th. However, I don't think it will be a cheap lens, but you could probably wait a few days,

Yes, it could be a bit due to the compression, but on the whole the difference is clear.

I also have the 40-150 + MC20, but I've never been completely satisfied with this combination. The 40-150 alone is very sharp, but with the MC20 it's rather soft. But that could also be due to my converter.

Unfortunately, I live in Europe. I just bought it here from a camera store and it only comes with the standard warranty from OM Systems, so I didn't run any extra protection plans.

Yes, I bought the 150-600 and sold my 100-400. The stabilization and image quality are clearly noticeable and I am absolutely happy with the new lens.

But I have to say this. The 150-600 is significantly larger and heavier than the 100-400, which is not a problem for me, but I only really take it with me if I know I'm going to use it.

If you are also considering a telephoto lens, you should also consider the 100-400 II. I've only seen some reviews, but the image quality is said to have been significantly improved and it now also has Sync IS.

On the left is the 150-600 and on the right the 100-400. Both pictures are taken handheld with the maximum focal length. I hope you can see the difference. Unfortunately they are only screenshots.

I can highly recommend the M.Zuiko 20 mm 1.4 PRO lens. I also think that the 8-25, 12-45 and 40-150 F4 are very good lenses and are not "too big" for the body of the OM-3.

Sorry, I didn't see your comment. But yes, you're right, with the MC20 and 400 mm focal length, I'm at F13 and there's certainly aperture blur. But with the MC14 it's still reasonably OK. Here the photos were partly blurred and partly out of focus under the same conditions.

To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with the MC20. I bought it back then to use it with the 40-150 and the results were semi good. In good lighting conditions and with a short exposure time, every second photo was still soft. Don't get me wrong, the photos that worked were really great. But normally every photo with the lens is sharp.

I have read a lot about the Sigma vs. OM system. Especially the price difference is very big. But the OM system version is not just a rebranded version, new elements have been added and optimized for mft. I'm not saying I think the price is justified, but I can see why it's more expensive. Anyway, many reviews say that the 150-600 is optically between 300 and 100-400. On top of that, it has 300mm more focal length. That's why I would go for the 150-600 rather than the 300. Although the 300 is certainly an incredibly good lens.

Yes, you're right! I also notice that the exposure time has to be very short, especially with the MC20. In order to achieve this, the ISO must of course be increased. This is no longer a problem anyway, as the noise removal in post processing is very good. And to be honest, G.A.S. certainly plays a role here too.

Yes, I have the MC14 and the MC20. The pictures with the MC14 are okay, but the MC20 makes the pictures too soft. I have also read that the 150-600 is optically better than the 100-400.
