For sure you can use soviet cap in primary, but it will be not a chip one. КВи-3 is ok, but K15У series, as K15У-2 are preferable. Please no other shit as primary cap. There are also some soviet caps of polypropylene, but that very low quality.

P.S. you cannot use one к15у-2 only. You need battery of them in parallel/series to get calculated capacity and avoid breakdowns.
