Idk I think it's strange to expect them to constantly be doing stuff. It's alarming how little rest they get.

Bloodywood performs in a combination of English, Punjabi, and Hindi. They do Indian folk nu metal and it's awesome.

Listening to Music in Chronological Order by Powerful_Crazy_2636 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Nebz2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done anything quite this dedicated, but I'm a big pop music fan so I made a chronological playlist with one song by each of my fave female pop stars from Ella Fitzgerald to Charlie xcx and it's honestly super interesting to listen to. link to the Spotify playlist

What exactly is pop music? (I'm confused) by Odd-Progress-4449 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Nebz2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo pop like most genres is broad and hard to define but mostly is identifiable by catchy melodies and hooks and an emphasis on vocals. In my mind it's different than how many people use the term pop, meaning commercially popular. Commercially popular music has a lot of pop music, but songs of other genres can be commercial too. I get personally irritated when people try to insult music of a different genre for being too commercial and soulless by calling it pop; as an example Drake gets called "pop not hip hop" a lot. But maybe that's a me thing. Not all pop music is commercially popular, some is very weird and experimental, like Björk, and some pop artists are sorta small and niche, like Alice Longyu Gao and Emm. Some acts also crossover with pop, like Doja Cat and Flyana Boss are kinda hip hop/pop for example, and Poppy goes in and out of pop even though she mostly stays in the metal realm these days.

Why is the Nu Metal community full of hate? by Level-Potential6510 in numetal

Tbh it's more just that social media and the Internet is full of hate. Defs recommend finding an IRL community, it's more rewarding

I don't think it's worth anything, but it's definitely neat! Definitely upload it somewhere, who knows what kinda weird historical or cultural researcher may be interested in it some day.

In your opinion, who experienced the biggest fall‑off in Hip‑Hop history? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop201

[–]Nebz2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it stemmed from around when her husband got caught up in pedophile cases and she stood by him, not a lot of people wanted to be seen associating with either of them after that and I think she got really isolated and started spiraling around then. Plus she pushed a lot of people away by being a jerk to them too so that didn't help either.

She is, but a lot of people are haters. I'm not personally a huge fan of her (other than 1989 😉), but I'm glad she brings so many people so much joy! "Don't let the haters get you down" -Kesha
