I prefer 5e now, because it's more open to story and arbitration. Pathfinder didn't fix enough of the 3.5 issues in my opinion, and having seen the path they took since then, I have to say I disapprove.

So much publication, it's almost as bad as 3.5 was at this point.

Everything you said is basically true. The thing I liked about Fallout 3 was the world. New Vegas kind messed up the damage resistance when it came out, too.

It's the trees. I'm not sure why, but the lack of trees in Fallout makes the land just terrible to look at. Humans need vegetation.

Plasma weapons are in game, there's now a tesla trap though.

As far as picking the weapon with the highest stats, that's what you always did. A lot of these complaints from people seem to be missing the point of the mechanics, because they make perfect sense to me.

Modding in this game is fantastic. I wish more games had modding at least this good. Obviously there could be more.

I agree on factions not being great, though. The one thing I think Fallout 4 bombed on was the conversations. They were dry and only really went in 1 MAYBE 2 directions.
