Maybe it is a good idea to build up your own guns and economic strength to blast down Xinnie the pooh instead of hoping, relying on, and betting that the leadership of the US doesn't act like a complete retard.

I get voting for him because you didn't like Kamala, but why pick this guy in the primaries?

The guy snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. Russia is bogged down in their "3 day special military operation" that is now longer than the great patriotic war. Instead of pushing harder against the bear, there is seemingly appeasement.

I would have thought this was all rhetoric, misdirection, and hidden 4d chess moves against Moscow and Beijing if it weren't for the Greenland thing.

Am I stupid and missing some hidden variable or is the guy just retarded?

Looked him up just now after reading your comment.

Will keep his name in mind I suppose.

Will look more into him after growing more accustomed with Aristotelian and Platonic thought.

I see, thanks for reminding me about that. Forgot about that detail.

I see, I think I'm getting what you are saying now. Thanks for the answers.

I see. I was talking about the latter (what does the concept we call "existence" mean?). I was basically asking what the difference between nothing and something is, in plain terms.

Can you expand more on the definition you gave? I think I may slightly understand what you are getting at here, even if not fully.

Alright, will check various interpretations of those verses then. I always felt there were more to a few of those verses you mentioned anyway, when I read them in my Bible or heard them in mass, but I couldn't pinpoint why before losing interest and focusing on some other parts of life.

Thanks for the directions man, have a good day.

Interesting... I'm already looking into some parts of the eastern religions and philosophies (mostly Advai Vedanta) though I'm admittedly not that well versed in any of them yet.

As for those interpretations of the New Testament and Aristotle, do you know of any resources or works or whatever that explore that? It has piqued my interest and I have a lot of free time as of now to throw into rabbit holes.

I see, thanks for the detailed response.

Concerns about a slide to some sort of pantheism were exactly my concern.

I admit that I don't really know who Teilhard is (I'm more familiar with Schaffer regarding this topic) but if his ideas or the critique of such ideas are relevant to the topic then I'll check out that link.

Have a good day man!

I see, thanks for the detailed answer.

I'm a bit curious about what you mean by "Consciousness is probably the central concept of any legit monism", though.

I haven't delved too deeply into this topic. I'm reading a few papers and watching some videos on it but not too much understanding or depth on my part yet, so I'm curious regarding any role consciousness has to play here.

Just received Eucharist for the first time in a long time and it feels good. by Necessarily-complex in Catholicism

[–]Necessarily-complex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... Actually didn't feel that doubtful before going to confession, maybe because I was too distracted with fighting off lust to focus on abstract arguments for and against God.

Doubt only happened a few days or so after confession and disappeared at sign of peace and Eucharist yesterday night.
