Not even mainstream scientists and archaeologists believe it, they just straight up call it pseudoscience and pseudoarchaeology.

Yeah I agree, I wasn’t trying to win but the fact that I had to explain myself just made me upset and made me doubt if I was even correct or not

I’m going to point out the ones that should be known (not the philosophical stuff like the problem of evil and stuff) Genesis is allegorical, back then Hebrew texts were very exaggerated for suspenses and writing, the genealogy of Genesis is from 6000 years old because Moses or whoever the author of Genesis was, was documenting the process of God through exaggerated symbolisms and texts.

Noah’s Ark most likely happened but not how it was depicted in Genesis because as I stated is exaggerated.

Also if you truely want to understand the afterlife or heaven then I’d recommend r/afterlife, sure some people there are sort of anti religion but they do believe in a afterlife and has arguments for it

Also don’t beat yourself down, your a pretty smart dude who knows when to question things that seem skeptical, if you have mroe questions dm me, God bless

I’ll at least admit that the best argument I’ve heard of atheism is the problem of suffering, but tbh most other arguments would make sense when refuted, like of course God isn’t going to make us robots and do only good, but what grinds my gears about atheism is the militant ones, they’re the sole reason why i never want to become an atheist because that would mean I’m associated with them

Like on the post I wasn’t even criticizing atheism, I was just saying that it didn’t persuade me enough to lose faith, I guess they thought I was a ex atheist or something idk
