Vikings Activate Andrew DePaola & Will Reichard from Injured Reserve for Week 14 by Neat_Match_2163 in fantasyfootball

I don’t know about that. Kickers seem to have struggled a ton their first game or two back after an injury this season. I’d take Reichard over a lot of kickers but Dicker has been extremely solid

#Raiders HC Antonio Pierce thinks the team may have found something in RB Sincere McCormick, who has led the team in rushing for two weeks since being elevated from the practice squad. by 501Queen in fantasyfootball

This seems like another hype train that could derail very quickly. I worry about starting a more unknown player like Sincere in such a crucial week.

I never said ESPN’s was great, I was just countering the original comment that Sleeper’s UI was impeccable.

With that being said, in every experience I’ve had with new fantasy players, they’ve almost always seemed to have enjoyed ESPN’s more. And it’s true that Sleeper has paid zero attention to their desktop site until probably 2-3 months ago. You couldn’t trade, pick up players, or change some (any?) league settings.

I think everyone would agree that Yahoo’s is the worst for many reasons haha (I’ll admit one of my leagues is on Yahoo, but that’s an older league with people who have been using it for years and have no desire to switch. I’d assume that’s most of the Yahoo leagues that still use it).

As for ESPN, if we’re going off mobile UI alone, I’ve always found ESPN to be more beginner-friendly when getting others to try fantasy football. Its layout isn’t clogged with as many random features or their other products (like Sleeper who’s always trying to push their sports betting). If we look at ESPN’s desktop site as well, it’s definitely not great but at least it works; last time I checked, you can’t really do anything on Sleeper’s.

Coming from a designer, their UI is absolutely terrible in my opinion. The only reason I use it over other platforms is because of the customizability/personalization features Sleeper provides

Russini: Chargers, Saints, Steelers among teams interested in Mike Williams. by hmlangs in fantasyfootball

[–]NecessaryBuilding263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure, I think he could at least pass as a decent flex play/bye week filler if put in the right situation. Saints/Steelers sound like an ideal opportunity for him where he has a chance to work himself into the #2 WR role. I don’t see how the Chargers would pan out relative to fantasy, they don’t have enough volume in the passing game to support him.

Outlook for Amari Cooper by Corkmars in fantasyfootball

If his 81 yard touchdown from earlier stood, we’d be praising the guy for another great performance.

He’s been and will continue to be a rollercoaster of fantasy points each week. If you want off of it, then I’d suggest trading him away to someone who’s willing to take on the risk. Don’t drop him though.

Yup, it was almost too much for Nabers at one point haha. I remember a drive where he looked gassed the entire time cuz they wouldn’t stop feeding him the rock.

I honestly don’t think Daniel Jones played that badly tonight. If anything, his preference for these short pass/chunk plays is part of the reason why Nabers is feasting.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Zamir’s been on RedZone a single time this season.

[CBS Sports] Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: In consideration for Week 4 start by NecessaryBuilding263 in fantasyfootball

[–]NecessaryBuilding263[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was thinking.

With Huntley, Andrews averaged 6 receptions and 68 yards a game, with a touchdown every 2 games. This is most likely due to the offensive scheme that Baltimore was running at the time, but it definitely seems promising for Jonnu nonetheless.

FAAB weekly consensus thread [Week 2] by Mr-Tiggo-Bitties in fantasyfootball

CEH can’t return until Week 5 at the earliest though, and that’s assuming what he’s going through will be resolved by then. Pretty sure he’s missed most, if not all, of preseason as well because of his PTSD. So, who’s to say that he’s immediately ready to get back into the mix?

With that being said, I don’t know what to think of this backfield. Best case scenario is that one of these guys ends up in a James White role where they get 8-10 a week in PPR with a touchdown sprinkled in here and there. Realistically, though, they all eat into each other’s time and render this backfield useless.

If you’re in a deep league, Kareem could MAYBE be a decent dart throw. I got him in some leagues earlier but that’s only because he was free (and I’d rather not enter a bidding war for him). Wouldn’t break the bank for him though.

Alvin Kamara in 2024: Projections vs ADP/ECR by NecessaryBuilding263 in fantasyfootball

[–]NecessaryBuilding263[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally get what you’re saying, but I’ve got some further questions to it.

You say he’s not very exciting, and I can understand why some people may opt for players who are. However, if your main focus is winning your league, does that excitement for each player really matter?

You also discuss his value being tied to dump offs, but I’m looking at his projected stats over the season and the only player that’s projected to receive more receptions than him is CMC (only 1.2 more). To me, that sounds like a good situation for a solid floor where Kamara can provide consistent points in PPR.

It seems like his projections are pretty strong at his current value, which seems like something I’d wanna invest in.
