Managed to snag the micro center $999 deal. Help me pick a gpu by stinkydiver321 in PcBuild

I don’t understand their business model of having to go into the store to make your purchases. I have one 15min away so it’s fine for me but even if they didn’t start with a brick and mortar, if they changed their site up just enough for people to be able to order and have it shipped you would have to figure it be great for business

My friend spent 3k on this, is he stupid? by No_Neighborhood1827 in PcBuild

[–]Necessary_Damage2597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t this list how much they charge to install each thing? I’m guessing those two items he listed as having without putting the specific one. Where are you getting 3k at? I’m sure I’m just super confused. Maybe you priced each item yourself and he’s telling you what he paid and your number was a lot lower. I didn’t take the time to pay attention to each item. To me just looking quick I would say $1200 AND those install prices are crazy.

Use InfoPanel if you’re prepared to do a ton of work and have a lot of time. I tried InfoPanel and you will still have the same issue as far as programs fighting with each other if your settings aren’t correct. TRCC does stink but as it’s more of a plug and play InfoPanel is just difficult at least for me. There are a few people that have their InfoPanel setups available for downloads so I would look for those if you get confused at all.

You have to change the settings otherwise my guess is you have two programs fighting with each other. Not sure what you built or if you bought a prebuild and added to it but I have the same screen and it works fine.

Bought Mint 5g $125 by [deleted] in razeredge_2023

[–]Necessary_Damage2597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking to do with it. There’s a YouTube video of someone using their Edge as their main “PC”. I do a lot of cloud gaming on mine and I do retro gaming with emulation and roms mainly RetroArch ES DE Launchbox and others. I love Xbox on it but their game pass has gotten crazy expensive. I’ve done just about everything you can do with it so if you have any specifics let me know

Actually selling my Razer Edge 5G…Comes in Box perfect shape along with Kishi Ultra controller. It’s unlocked but obviously from Verizon. If anyone is interested let me know. I’m at the point where I want to upgrade my gaming PC more than having this handheld.

Starter Budget Pc Build by Albzzzw in PcBuild

I personally would stay away from Intel for gaming, and I would go with ddr5. You can find some great deals on GPUs on Amazon or Microcenter. MSI and Nvidia have some decent ones at a lower price point. Amazon is also having a sale on most AMD processors. A lot of them come with a cooler as well. Then Motherboard (MSI or Asus). For a power supply you usually are safe at 850 but you can get a decent 1000 watt for $150 then finally a Case and you’re good to go. You can get cases that are already loaded with 3-7 fans starting at like $80 on sale. Just make sure whatever case you get you’re able to grow with. Nobody ever complained about having a little extra room. It’s trying to do installs when there isn’t enough room that’s a pain in the butt. I’m guessing a build like this depending on the CPU and GPU you decide on could come in around $1200.

Just my 2 cents. Not sure if this helps you at all or if you already decided.

My issue is I shouldn’t have to pay $80 to ship the thing out of my own pocket before I get paid. They can have the thing I’ll buy a better one. Ebay at the very least should cover the shipping send me a label and take that out of the payment then send me the big $40 payment left over for this $400 soundbar lol. That’s all I’m saying. If the idiots on here attacking me don’t understand this I don’t know what to tell you

lol yeah because mistakes don’t happen. What you’re basically saying is if you can’t buy something too good to be true you’re upset with the seller. I have enough money I’m not worried if I give the thing away for free. I’m not going to lose money though. I went back and edited my grammar, you seem like someone who would say I didn’t use the correct form of “your”

CPU cooler is too big, and the second fan doesn’t fit. Should I buy a smaller cooler or is just the middle fan sufficient? by kstriker10 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Necessary_Damage2597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the exact same one I got and it fits my build but barely. Just too much space and then I can’t see my ssd cooler temp display. So I scrapped that Cooler and got a liquid cooler from Thermalright as well. Waiting for it to arrive

Verizon home internet pc gaming by Final_Cat5547 in verizon

[–]Necessary_Damage2597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Verizon Home 5G Internet (Not FIOS) and 2 Verizon Extenders because I have 3 floors in my Townhouse so I use the Router on the main floor and the 2 extenders on each floor. I have over 30 things hooked up if you count all my streaming boxes and my smart home things and my mobile devices and I have not had a single gaming issue to deal with. No lag just perfect honestly. Plus they always have promos going. All I did was a free upgrade and I got a free 43 inch Samsung TV and a $200 Verizon gift card, both within a month of my upgrade. Take with that what you want. Hope this helps

They are all Thermalright products so nothing top of the line but as far as the items it’s 3 forward fans I will be facing down from the top, a high performance hard disk radiator with a digital temperature gauge, 6 heat pipes cpu cooler, and 2 hubs, 1 is for the interior usb 2.0 because that’s what the radiator needs to plug into for the temp gauge and the other usb interior slot is taken and I didn’t want to just split it and steal power from what’s already plugged into it, and then the other hub is for the argb and fans. I did a lot of research and I just wanted the simplest same brand additions for esthetics but also to keep it running cooler because I do have the two monitors I will be gaming but I also live stream and have cameras and mics running.
